SSSC58 - Fox & Friends

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch!  My post today is late in going up because most of my family has been fighting off colds and coughs and today I think I might have lost the battle to stay well myself.  Needless to say I will be staying in and drinking lots of hot tea and juice today.
The card and project for Karen's sketch uses the Occasions Mini Catalog stamp set Fox & Friends along with the new Bigz L Milk Carton Die.  The heads of the animals were stamped twice, cut and pop dotted to give them some fun dimension.
Supplies: Fox & Friends, Bigz L Milk Carton Die, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Welcome Neighbor DSP, Sweet Pea DSP, Word Window punch, Pinking Hearts border punch, Buttons, Ribbon, Square punches, Pop dots.  Colors: Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Really Rust.
To play along create a card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, then go to Karen’s blog The Sweetest Thing and link your card using Mr. Linky so we can all see your creation!

Spring Potted Pansies

Hello, today I have another project that we made at my Stamp Camp last week.  I had so much fun creating my Valentine Sweetheart Potted Flower card here that I decided I wanted to have the ladies from Stamp Camp create one that was springy.  I wanted the flowers to look like pansies so I went with the two shades of purple with the yellow centers for the flowers and used Really Rust for the pot to give it a clay pot look.  I gave each lady that came to Camp the option to make her card for what ever occasion she wanted by using the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (love this set) for the tag on the front of the card.
Supplies: With All My Heart, Extra Large Fancy Flower punch, Sweetheart (for the leaves), Well Scripted, Trio Flower punch, Scallop border punch, Ribbon, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Piercer, Pop dot.  Colors: Elegant Eggplant, Lovely Lilac, Old Olive, Summer Sun, Really Rust.
Thank you for your visit!

SSSC57 - Sympathy

Good morning!  Today is Sunday which means Karen has another great sketch to share for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  After first looking at this sketch I was a little skeptical with all of the horizontal strips behind the main circle but after I got going I really ended up liking how the strips of designer paper seemed almost quilt like.  For my card I used the stamp set For All You Do which I haven't used in a long time, I guess because when it first came out I stamped with it so much that I got burnt out of this combination of stamps and paper.
Supplies: For All You Do, Brighter Tomorrow, Cottage Wall DSP, Nesties, Ribbon, Pearls, Scallop Trim border punch, Piercer, White pen, Pop dots.  Colors: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Pale Plum.

Birthday Butterflies

The card that I have for today is one that I used for my stamp camp yesterday, the initial idea for this card was from Melissa Huie's beautiful card which you can see here.  Instead of using the stamp set Flight of the Butterfly like Melissa did I wanted to showcase a card using the new Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die which is currently in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Supplies: Well Scripted, Inspired by Nature, Flight of the Butterfly(for the small flower), Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, Beautiful Butterflies Sizzix Die, Ribbon, Scallop Trim border punch, Linen Thread.  Colors: Soft Suede, Kraft, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Certainly Celery.

SSSC56 - Get Well Wishes

Happy Valentines Day!!! It's Sunday and time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, for my card today I used one of my favorite stamp sets from the Stampin' Up catalog, Flight of the Butterfly.  I wanted to create a get well card using the sketch and wanted something simple and cheerful so I went with Mellon Mambo and So Saffron for my colors.  I think I may try and make a few of these cards in different color combinations just to have on hand.  This card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".

Supplies: Flight of the Butterfly, Butterfly punch, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Word Window punch, Ribbon, Button, Scallop border punch, Melon Mambo DSP, So Saffron DSP, Nestie circle die, Piercer, Pop dots.  Colors: Melon Mambo, So Saffron.

MTSC60 - Love You Much

Todays card is for a sketch challenge I've wanted to participate in but never have so I finally jumped in and gave Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge a try!  This was a great sketch and a fun card to create, I started out by stamping the swirly flowers from the stamp set Simply Said and added the pop dotted hearts stamped in Real Red from the I {Heart} Hearts set.  This card measures 3 3/4" x 7 3/4" and will fit into a standard size letter envelope.

Supplies: Simply Said, I {Heart} Hearts, Well Scripted, Ribbon, Piercer, Pop dots, Scallop Trim border punch, Small Heart punch, Circle punch, Coluzzle, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder.  Colors: Real Red, Basic Black.

Heartfelt Thanks

Well the snow is really flying here today were suppose to get any where from 8-10 inches of snow which will be our first real measurable snow storm for the season.  I'm actually kind of happy that it's snowing out, it sure beats looking out at all the grey that we've had.  My kids are counting on a snow day tomorrow and since my husband plows snow during the winter he's happy that the snow is here as well.
The card that I have for today is for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge and uses the Sweetheart stamp set that I can't seem to put down lately.  The thing that I like about this stamp set is that even though this card has a Valentine look to it you could use it for a lot of different occasions just by switching up the colors and sentiment.

Supplies: Sweetheart, Sending Love DSP, Satin ribbon, Coluzzle, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Full Heart punch, Curly Label punch.  Colors: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Pretty in Pink.
Stay warm!

Sweetheart Potted Flowers

Hello, today I have a Valentine that I created for my son's preschool teacher, his Valentine party is tomorrow in his class.  You've gotta love a bunch of 3 and 4 year olds excited about exchanging Valentines, eating frosted heart shaped cookies and doing Valentine crafts.  My son loves his preschool teacher so much, it's sweet to see him get in his class and run right up to her and give her a big hug.

I followed the tutorial on Splitcoast that you can find here to create a Flower Pot card, this is the first one I've made and it was very fun.  Over the past few weeks I've had the winter blaas, not depressed but just having a hard time creating and its driving me crazy because I want to stamp!  Hopefully I'm snapping out of it and can get back to what I love to do with out feeling like I'm going to tear my hair out just making one card, lol.
Supplies: Sweetheart, With All My Heart, Well Scripted, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Sending Love DSP, Extra Large Fancy Flower punch, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Scallop border punch, Satin Ribbon, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder.  Colors: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive.
Thank you for your visit!

SSSC55 - Sweetheart

Good morning!  Today is Sunday and that means it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  I used the stamp set Sweetheart for my card today which is a stamp set that's on special during the Occasions Mini Catalog until April 30.  This was a fun card to put together using Karen's sketch, I love the circle and the fact that the sketch could work horizontally or vertical which make it super versatile.
Supplies: Sweetheart, Sending Love DSP, Full Heart punch, Scallop Trim border punch, Circle punches, Satin ribbon, Piercer, Pop dots.  Colors: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Real Red.

Mojo - Curtain Call

The two cards I have for today are for Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge, the colors for the challenge are Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie and Lavender Lace.  When I first saw the colors for the challenge I was a little apprehensive because they weren't colors I would normally combine but after working with them they grew on me.

Supplies: Upsy Daisy, Perfect Details Texturz Plate, Scallop Trim border punch, Beautiful Wings Embosslits die, Ribbon, Piercer, Pop dots.
This second card is for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge as well as Stacey's Color Challenge.  This card really was a challenge because I wanted to use designer paper but didn't have any in these colors and struggled with this layout.

Supplies: Great Friend, Sincere Salutations, Ribbon, Nesties, Pearls, Perfect Details Texturz Plate, Sponge, Pop dots.
