You’re So Sweet - CTD729

Hello there! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have the colors of red, pink and gold!
For my card I used the Pretty Pink Posh, Sweet Cherries stamp set and coordinating dies. I started out by stamping and die cutting a bunch of the cherry and flower images and then coloring them using copic markers and white gel pen for highlights. Once that was done I used the Outside in Stitched Rectangle dies and die cut one rectangle from black and white polka dot paper and another from white card stock.
Then I stamped my sentiment in the center of the white rectangle, adhered it to the black polka dot paper and card base and arranged my images around the sentiment. Once I had them where I wanted them, I used Press n’ Seal to lift them up, I added adhesive and foam tape and press the whole thing down in place.

Valentine's

Hello! I’m back to share two more Valentine cards that I created using the new Pretty Pink Posh  Valentine Mug Additions , the original Winter Mug dies and Large Love Shadow die.
For my first card, I created a square Valentine. I die cut the mug from the Winter Mug dies from red and used the heart die from the set and die cut the center of the mug backing it up with a scrap of pink polk a dot paper.
For both cards I die cut a bunch of the chocolates and swirls in different colored brown card stock and on the lighter chocolates I shaded the edges using ground espresso distress oxide ink. I did the same to the hot cocoa for the mug and added the whip, die cut chocolate hearts and a cherry which I blended with dark red ink and lucky clover distress ink. I did the same with the chocolate strawberry. For the background, I used the Outside in Stitched Square dies and die cut a piece of pink striped paper and also a white square for my die cut pieces. For
The second card is a slimline Valentine and I used all of the same products from the Valentine Mug Additions dies except the mug. I used a scallop slimline frame, roses from the die set and added a banner with sentiment that I stamped.
The Large Love Shadow die I die cut from red and white card stock and for the roses I added a touch of worn lipstick distress oxide ink in the centers.

Valentine Mug - CTD728

Hello there, happy February first! I’m hostess for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge and I chose some colors that I thought would be fun to create with with Valentine’s Day coming up.
Using this week’s colors I create two cards with new dies from Pretty Pink Posh, I used the Winter Mug die set along with the Valentine Mug additions dies and the Large Love Shadow die. These were such fun die sets to create with, the add-ons and little details really help make the cards!
For my first card I die cut the mug from some pretty in pink card stock and used some worn lipstick distress oxide ink around the edges of the mug to give it some dimension. Next I die cut the inside of the mug from kraft card stock and blended on some ground espresso distress ink and then added the whip and die cut cherry along with the stir stick. The spoon was die cut from sliver metallic card stock and I die cut the Large Love Shadow die from red and with card stock and glued them together. I die cut the strawberries a light red card stock and then blended on some darker red ink along the edges and I used some lucky clover distress ink on the stems and then added the chocolate with the hearts and swirls. For my background I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle dies and die cut a white rectangle and a larger one from Echo Park dots & stripes paper.
For my second card, I used most of the same supplies to create a horizontal card except I used the chocolates and rose from the Valentine Mug Additions die set. I also used the heart die from the set to add to the mug and used some Doodlebug red gingham paper for my background along with using the mix & mat: scallops die.
I hope you like the Valentine cards I’m sharing today, I’ll be back to share two more cards using these fun new Pretty Pink Posh dies tomorrow.
