More Fintastic Friends

 Hi there!  This is my second post for today so if you're looking for my Sweet Sunday Sketch post, see the post below this.  I've got another Father's Day card that's very similar to my last post from today in that it used the same supplies and colors but I created it using the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #191.
For my card I used the new Lawn Fawn Fintastic Friends stamp set and dies to create another fun Father's Day card.  I used a hawaiian shores card base with a panel of tropical teal and then my white stamped panel which I stamped the fish tank from the set and added the die cut fish.  The images were  colored using Copic markers with a little white gel pen as a highlight.

Hope you're having a great Father's Day weekend!

You're Fintastic Dad

 Happy Father's Day to all of the dad's out there!  I hope you're having a relaxing weekend!
It's Sunday and time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  I'm sharing the Father's Day card that I created for my kids to give to their dad who is an awesome father, I couldn't ask for better and my kid's are lucky to have such a great dad.
 I used the fun new Lawn Fawn stamp set and dies, Fintastic Friends (this set is so much fun!) along with the Lawn Fawn Argyle Backdrops for the bottom portion of my card.  This card also made me realize that I need more alphabet stamp sets because I had to go digging to find the one and only set I had which was a Hero Arts Classic Caps set to stamp out the "DAD" for my banner.  I had just received this Fintastic Friends stamp set and dies in the mail and wanted to use it for a Father's Day card especially after seeing the adorable Father's Day shaker card, Heidi Criswell created.

For my card, I started out with a new leaf card base, then a white panel.  I cut a piece of hawaiian shores cardstock on an angle and randomly stamped the same two fish that I used inside my fishbowl with hawaiian shores ink.  Then I placed my hawaiian shores piece that I stamped on top of a tropical teal piece of cardstock and used my stamped piece as a guide to cut the angle of the tropical teal piece.  After stamping the tropical teal piece and adding my banner, I taped both top panels on to the front of my card and stamped my sentiment.  I used my Copic markers to color my fishbowl and die cut fish and added a little bit of white gel pen and some foam tape underneath to pop the fishbowl up.

Hello Sunshine

 Hello!  It's time for the Tag You're It! Challenge #24 and our inspiration for this challenge comes from design team member Anja and her adorable card with tag.
For my tag, I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Hello Sunshine and Noted along with the coordinating hello die.  I took my inspiration from Anja's watercolored tag and die cut hello.  I die cut my tag from watercolor paper, added mustard seed distress ink and watercolored a portion of my tag. Once that was try I stamped the sun and rays in summer sun, added my die cut hello, stamped my sunshine sentiment and added some rhinestones and bakers twine.
Sadly this is my last Tag You're It! post as a design team member, I've been on the Tag You're It! design team for two terms and I've enjoyed being a part of such a talented team but have decided to step down.

Pretty Petals

 Happy Wednesday!  We made it half way through the week!  Today I'm sharing the birthday card I created for my daughter.  I wanted something simple with bright bold colors.
I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Pretty Petals and Wet Paint for the sentiment.  I started out with a raspberry fizz card base, then a panel of black cardstock.  I used a piece of watercolor paper and stamped my flower and leaf images using raspberry fizz, limeade ice (PTI), pumpkin pie and summer sun (SU) ink.  After that I spritzed my paper with water, dried it with my heat gun, stamped the sentiment and glued on some irridecent sequins.

Thanks - {SSSC273}

 Hi there!  It's been a super busy time of the year for our family, between my daughter's graduation, her birthday along with several family member's birthdays every weekend has been family celebrations (which is fun, I'm not complaining it just doesn't leave time for creating).  So now that it's Tuesday I'm finally posting my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge card.
I used the Paper Smooches stamp set Twiggy Florets along with the Big Vases die and pulled out my Prisma Colored pencils and did some blending on the flowers and stems.

Thank you for your visit and have a great day!

Hi There! - {SSSC272}

 Hi there!  It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
I've got a quick little thinking of you card using the fun Paper Smooches stamp set My Peeps.  This was one of the images I colored for The 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  Are you coloring along?
I die cut the peacocks body, colored and popped him up after stamping and coloring the feathers behind him.  I added a little clear glitter to the circles on his feathers and some glossy accents to his eyes.  I used tropical teal, limeade ice (PTI) and pumpkin pie (SU) cardstock.

Have a great Sunday!

Friend

 Hello!  Sorry I've been missing in action around here, things have been crazy.  Today I have a card that I created a week or so ago for a dear friend of mine, I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Bitty Bouquets and a bunch of bright colors to create what was hopefully a cheerful thank you card.
I started out with a pure poppy card base then added a layer of summer sun.  I stamped my friend sentiment over to the upper right side of my white card stock and then masked it off with a strip of scrap paper.  Then I randomly stamped each of the flower and stems in different colors.  I used limeade ice and simply chartreuse for the stems and pure poppy, royal velvet, daffodil delight, lavender lace and only orange for the flowers.
One of the reasons I've been so busy is that our daughter graduated from high school this last Friday.  We are so proud of her!  She is such a great kid with a kind and loving heart and we are blessed to have her as our daughter.
 The picture below, on the left is her on her first day of kindergarden and the right graduation day.  As a scrapbooking mom I've taken pictures of each of my kids leaving the door on their first day of school for each year.
This picture is of all three of my kids.  Our oldest son is 20, our daughter 17 and our youngest 8.  They grow up fast, it seems like only yesterday they were all babies.
That's it for me, thanks for stopping by!
