Petite Pots

Happy Friday, friends!  My youngest son's summer school camp came to an end yesterday so I'm happy to not have to get up and rush out the door this morning to drop him off.  Here's to having a relaxing second cup of coffee kind of morning.
Today I'm sharing three cards that I created for two challenges, The Paper Players Sketch Challenge #255 and the CAS*ology Challenge #157 with Wings as the inspiration.
All three cards use the same Papertrey Ink stamp set, Petite Pots (which is a set that can only be purchased using PTI reward points) and the same colors, the only thing different on each card is the design and sentiment on the tags.
I started out with a white card base, then added a strip of white card stock I had stamped using the PTI set Plaid Builder (I stamped a whole 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 sheet and cut it into strips).  Then I added a panel of pure poppy and my tag which I popped up using foam tape.

Supplies: Petite Pots + dies, Plaid Builder, Ombre Builders, tag die, ribbon, Copic marker, foam tape.
Colors: Pure poppy, tropical teal, hawiian shores, simply chartreuse, limeade ice (PTI), daffodil delight, cajun craze (SU).

That's it for me today, I'll be back Sunday with my card for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Garden Grace

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a card that I created a few months ago for my nieces birthday but never posted the card here on my blog.  I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Garden Grace and heat embossed the floral image with white embossing powder onto watercolor paper.  Then I did a little watercolor smooshing with picked raspberry and spiced marmalade distress inks.  Once the watercoloring was dry, I stamped my sentiment, added some wink of stella glitter on the roses and glued on some iridescent sequins.

Hope you're having a good start to your week!

Bloomers

Hello there!  It's been about two and a half weeks since I last posted and in-between that time there's been a lot going on.  It's been a very busy summer for our family with our daughter graduating, her graduation party, college tours & orientation along with so many other birthday parties and events.  I miss my creative time and card making.
Today I'm sharing my card for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  I used the new Papertrey Ink stamp set, Bloomers along with the coordinating dies to create a birthday card for a friend.  The colors I used are royal velvet, raspberry fizz, limeade ice (PTI), cameo coral, apricot appeal (SU).

Thanks for sticking around.

May today be SWEET

Hi there, crafty friends!  I'm back today to share the next card in the collection of cards that I created using the Papertrey Ink stamp set Bowl of Sunshine/A Second Helping of Sunshine.  Today is day three and I used the oranges from this stamp set to be my inspiration and went with a monochromatic card.  I went digging through my designer paper stash, searching through orange colored papers because I knew I wanted to use the PTI Quilted:Summer die on my card.  The bowl and oranges were die cut and stamped then popped up using foam tape onto a white square with stamped sentiment.  After adding all of my quilt pieces and gluing them down, I added the square focal point on top with more foam tape to give the card some dimension.  The ink colors I used were simply chartreuse, new leaf (PTI) and only orange (SU).

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a great day!

A Second Helping of Sunshine

Hello!  Today I'm sharing the second card in a collection of cards that I created using the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Bowl of Sunshine & A Second Helping of Sunshine.
Like the card I created from yesterday's post, I used some October Afternoon Sidewalks designer paper for my color inspiration.  I used aqua mist, new leaf, simply chartreuse and hawaiian shores ink along with white, aqua mist, simply chartreuse and tropical teal cardstock.

Hello there, friend!

Hello there!  I hope all of my American friends had a fun and safe Fourth of July yesterday!
It's been a few week's since I've posted here on my blog, I've been busy getting ready for my daughter's graduation party along with other things that life has thrown in.  I guess that's the way it goes.  I've missed my crafting and stamping time. Yesterday I had a few hours to do just that and created a set of cards using a Papertrey Ink stamp set I ordered and haven't even touched yet (I'm sure I'm not alone in untouched stamp sets).

The first card in the set that I created I used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge which is to use a past Sweet Sunday sketch, I chose sketch #268.
I used the PTI stamp set A Second Helping of Sunshine along with the coordinating dies to create a vintage looking thinking of you card.  I pulled the colors for my card from an older 8x8 October Afternoon paper pad that I've had and used aqua mist, real red, daffodil delight for my inks.  I used a white card base, then an embossed aqua mist piece with a layer of real red and my designer paper.
In the picture below you can see how I used a Glaze pen to add some shine to the cherries in the bowl and how I created a banner for my sentiment and tucked the end underneath the die cut scale.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope I'll see you tomorrow when I post the next card in the set using the Bowl of Sunshine stamps.
