CTD#239 - Happy Anniversary

 Hello there blogging friends!  It's Wednesday and time for another fun Color Throwdown Challenge.  Our hostess this week is Barbara who chose these lovely pastel colors for us to create with.

For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Rosie Posie, Turning a New Leaf and Think Big Favorites #12 for my sentiment.  On my barely banana back ground piece I randomly stamped one of the rose images in barely banana ink to add some texture and on the stamped and die cut roses I added a little Copic marker for some shading.

SSSC#182 - Chubby Chums Happy Birthday

 Good morning!  Are you ready for today's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge?  I hope so because it's a fun one.  I pulled out my Paper Smooches Chubby Chums stamp set because lately I'm in need of something fun and quirky and this image fit the bill.

After coloring my bird image with Copic markers, I paired him with some retired SU designer paper, an embossed background, ribbon, my happy birthday banner and some buttons.  I also added some Glossy Accents to his eyes (maybe too much, he looks bug eyed, lol) for some added detail.  Click on the image below for a close up view.

Chubby Chums - Miss You

TGIF!  Hope you're having a good start to your day!  Today I've got a fun card that I created using the Paper Smooches stamp set Chubby Chums.  The images from this stamp set always make me smile while I'm creating with them so I hope it puts a smile on the face of the friend that I'll be sending this card to.

I used this week's Paper Smooches Designer Draft Sketch Challenge for my layout, except I ended up making my card square and switching where I placed my sentiment because I felt it worked better on my card.  The Chubby cat image was paper pieced and then colored with Copic markers, I used the new Doodlebug Designs fruit stand designer paper (such fun paper).

RS#58 I Heart Art

Hello there friends!  Today I have a few clean and simple cards that I created using this week's Retro Sketch Challenge #58 (which I flipped).

For each of my cards I used the same Paper Smooches stamp set I Heart Art and switched up the colors and a few images or accents.  I used my Copic markers to color the images and either bakers twine or buttons as accents and on each of the cards I added some Glossy Accents to the paint brushes and palette.

CTD#237 - Happy Birthday Bitty Bird

 Hello friends!  It's Wednesday and time for another Color Throwdown Challenge!  Our hostess for this week is Tammy who has chosen an awesome color palette for us to create with.

For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Little Bitty Bird Additions to create a birthday card.  The top portion of my card was embossed using a polka dot embossing folder and the for the bottom half I used the picket fence image from the stamp set and stamped it along the bottom in poppy parade.

CTD#236 - Yellow Roses

 Hi there!  Today it's my turn to play hostess over at the Color Throwdown blog and since spring is right around the corner (or at least I hope it is), I chose this pretty inspiration photo of some cheerful pansies and pulled the colors from the photo for our challenge this week.

For my card I not only used this week's CTD colors but the Retro Sketches Challenge #56 from last week which was designed by none other than my talented Color Throwdown and Sweet Sunday Sketch team mate Lori Tecler.  I also used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Rosie Posie and Happy for You.
