The card today is for yesterday's Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge and after looking at the picture of this card I still don't think the With Sympathy is stamped straight darn it. I'm thinking after stamping this main panel three times that the rubber is crooked on the wood block even though it doesn't look like it is. Have you ever had that happen? The large rose was stamped in Basic Grey and the two other flowers in Close to Cocoa and the saying in Basic Black.
Supplies: Fifth Avenue Floral, Urban Oasis DSP, Brighter Tomorrow (retired), Ribbon, Brads, Large oval punch, Circle punch, Pop dots. Colors: Basic Black, Basic Grey, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Carmel, Whisper White.
I'm excited to place my Stampin' Up pre-order for the Holiday Mini Catalog this Saturday!
Wait till you see it, it's 39 pages filled with fun new stuff!

SFYTT - Razzleberry Butterflies
It's been a slow pace kind of day today, there was breakfast, getting my 2yr old ready for the day, laundry, a little kitchen clean up, lunch and the park and haaaaa nap time.
When I was creating my card for today I started out by using Jen's Sketch for You to Try but as you can see the butterflies didn't quite work their way up to the top right hand corner of my card.
Back to more laundry
Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo Monday - Enjoy Every Moment
Hope everyone had a nice weekend, ours was busy with my niece's graduation party on Saturday and getting work done around the house yesterday. Even though I was wiped out by the end of the day yesterday it felt good to have the house all cleaned up and things checked off our list that we've been wanting to get done.

WSC91 - FRIEND
The card for today is for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge which is being hosted this weekend by Laurie Schmidlin. For this card I used a mixture of different things, I used the stamp set All Holidays for the Friend saying and inked most of it in Old Olive and the FRIEND in Mellon Mambo and cut and embossed it with my oval Nestabilities. The butterfly and flower are from the stamp set For All You Do and for the butterfly I was trying to do the Kissing technique with the small dotted stamp that came with the For All You Do set and it really didn't add much texture. So I decided to ink up the butterfly in MM and kiss it with the medium sized flower from the set and what I got was sort of interesting I thought because it looked like a moth or butterfly pattern after I stamped it. The designer papers are Walk in the Park for the Kiwi Kiss squares and Mellon Mambo designer paper with piercing around the edge.

SC238 - Happy Everything to You
It's been a cool and semi rainy summer here in Michigan and I sure hope it warms up before summer is over, not that I would want it in the 90's but just warm enough so the kids could go swimming.
Today's card is for yesterday's sketch challenge #238 over at Splitcoast Stampers. After seeing the cover of the latest issue of Stampin' Success (which is a magazine just for SU demos) and the cute samples they made using the On a Pedestal stamp set with Real Red I really wanted to give it a try. People that visit my blog are probably sick of seeing cards that are made with set already, but its a fun set!
Supplies: On a Pedestal, Square punches, Scallop edge punch, Ribbon, Embossing, Piercer. Colors: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Whisper White.
Thanks for stopping by!

Fun & Fast Notes - Thinking of You
Today's card is for a friend of mine who is going through a difficult time, I wanted this card to be simple, sweet and comforting, hopefully I achieved at least one of those with this card.
The card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" with about a 1/2" of the bottom front edge cut off and the Eyelet border attached (this is why the photo was taken of the card laying down). The Taken with Teal back ground was rolled with the Kindness wheel, the Old Olive strip was rolled through my crimper and attached and the tea cup and flowers were colored using an aqua brush and ink pad lids then touched up with markers.
Supplies: Fun & Fast Notes, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Kindness wheel, Nestabilities, Word Window and Modern Label punches, Crimper, Staples, Eyelet border punch, SU markers, Brads, Piercer, Pop dots. Colors: Taken with Teal, Cool Caribbean, Old Olive, Summer Sun, Pink Passion, Whisper White.

Mojo Monday - Friend to Friend
Monday, Monday, it's been sort of a gloomy day today but I did manage to make a card for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This card started out as something completely different from how it actually came out, I think I was having a hard time with the busy pattern in the designer paper but was determined to use it some how.
One of my favorite new stamp sets other than For All You Do is the Teeny Tiny Wishes set, all of the words work perfectly with the Word Window punch and then can be layered onto the Modern Label punched out piece.

Christmas in July
Yes these are Christmas projects, ever since I got the hostess stamp set The More the Merrier I've wanted to make a card with these cute snowmen so I thought why not. Before I made this Christmas card and gift tag box I was searching around for a sketch to use and found Karen's blog The Sweetest Thing. Karen is a very talented lady who not only has wonderful projects on her blog, does her Sweet Sunday sketch challenges but also creates watermarks. So of course I had her create one for me and I couldn't be happier with it, I love it!

Mad About Mambo
Hello everyone, hope your day is going good. Both of today's cards were made using the new In Color-Mellon Mambo which is a pretty bright red raspberry color. The thank you/friendship card above is for the Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge for today and I'm so happy that SU came out with a butterfly punch for this stamp set Flight of the Butterfly, it makes cutting out and popping the butterfly wings a cinch. For this On a Pedestal birthday card I started out trying to use Jen's Sketch for You to Try but my main image with the cake looked strange tilted on an angle so I opted to leave it straight.
Supplies: Flight of the Butterfly, Butterfly punch, Ribbon, Mellon Mambo DSP, Piercer w/mat, Scallop edge punch, Pop dots. On a Pedestal, Nestabilities circle die, Scallop edge punch, Square punches, Embossing, Ribbon, Pop dots. Colors: Mellon Mambo, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White.
Is anyone else having problems with Blogger because I am?

On a Pedestal Pull Up Card
Hello everyone today I have a birthday card using the new stamp set On a Pedestal, this set
looked like so much fun in the catalog I couldn't resist getting it! For this card I created a pull up tag which exposes a birthday message. On a 31/4"x 21/2" piece of white card stock I stamped the pedestal in Mellon Mambo and then took my Crop-a-dile and used the small hole punch to punch a hole on top of each end of the pedestal. Then I used a craft knife and ruler to cut a slot for my tag to fit. The tag measures 1 1/2"x 3" with the message "Happy Everything to You" stamped at the bottom and the cake stamp above that (leave enough room for your hole punch and ribbon pull). I used the tag corner punch before tying on my ribbon and before I glued down my pedestal piece of card stock (being careful not to glue where my tag would fit in) I taped down a piece of white card stock onto the Chocolate Chip piece behind the slot opening so the CC card stock wouldn't peek through. I hope all this makes sense because once I figured out the measurements this card was rather easy to make and fun.
Supplies: On a Pedestal, Happy Everything, Polka Dot BG, Mellon Mambo DSP, Ribbon, Crop-a-dile, Corner tag punch, Scallop edge punch, Word Window punch, CC marker. Colors: Mellon Mambo, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White.
Hope your having a great weekend!

More For All You Do
Wow can you believe it's Friday already, this summer is flying by. We've been busy with the zoo, Cedar Point amusement park, birthday parties, Father's Day party, our trip up north, baseball, cheer leading camp and still have a graduation party coming up and so much more. Time flies when your havin' fun. I guess when your busy it keeps you out of trouble.
The card above is for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge and both of the cards for today were created using more of the "Cottage Wall" designer paper. I think this designer paper would work so well with many of the SU stamp sets like in the card below. I used the stamp set Pocket Silhouettes because if you look at the pale lavender paper piece on the card below you can see the similar leaf pattern that I used from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp. I think the Cottage Wall designer paper would also look great with the stamp sets Fresh Cuts and Great Friend as well as the For All You Do set. Just my opinion, or maybe its my excuse to buy more paper and stamps.
Supplies: For All You Do, Pocket Silhouettes, Wonderful Favorites, Cottage Wall DSP, Scallop edge and Eyelet edge punches, Ribbon, Brads, Pearls, CB embossing, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Square punch, Pop dots. Colors: Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Old Olive, Whisper White.
Hope your having a wonderful day!

New Stuff - For All You Do
Happy Thursday everyone!!! I actually got a chance to stamp today (hooray) and I had fun! One of my new favorite stamp sets from the Stampin' Up catty is "For All You Do", as soon as I saw it in the catty I knew I needed it, had to have it. So today's cards are using this pretty new stamp set and the "Cottage Wall" designer papers which I thought would go nicely together.

Dream BIG
Today's card is one that I made for my daughter for her dance recital which was this last weekend. I'm so proud of her she worked hard and did a fabulous job.
The sketch for this card is from Cambia's blog from this last weekend. I think this card could be adapted into a Fourth of July card very easily using red, white and blue and changing the Dream Big to a happy 4th.
Supplies: It's All Good, Classic Stars wheel, Large and small star punches, Dazzling Diamonds, Piercer w/mat, Square punch, Pop dots, Ribbon.
Our family is off for a trip up north for the fourth of July so I'd like to wish all of you a safe and fun holiday!
