Flower Garden Scalloped Box Card

Hello there! I’m popping in today to share a fun new card that I created using the new Pretty Pink Posh Flower Garden stamp set and dies along with the new Scalloped Box Card die set that creates a three dimensional box.
The first think I did to create my card was to use the Scalloped Box Card dies and die cut my pieces from blue card stock and the scalloped pieces from white card stock. Using the new Flower Garden stamp set, I stamped my Mother’s Day sentiment on the from scalloped piece and stamped, die cut and then colored a bunch of the images from the set.
Once I had all of my pieces ready to go, I assembled my box and started added my images starting with the flower cart in the back, then the watering can and cluster of flowers and then the front panel with my sentiment. On the sides I added images of the garden boots and potted flowers.
I loved how easy this was to put together and how fun the Scalloped Box Card was to decorate with the images!

Scenic Path Mother’s Day Card

Hello! I’m popping in today to share another card that I created as a guest designer for Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper. Today I’m sharing a Mother’s Day card that features the new Scenic Path cover plate die.
To create my card, I started out by using the Scenic Path cover plate die and die cutting it from spring moss card stock. Next I used the shrub stamp from the new Where it Leads stamp set and stamped the die cut shrubs from the cover plate and blended on some spring moss ink. On my white card base, I blended on some
hibiscus burst and spring moss ink.

After that, I used the new Mother & Father sentiment stamp set and heat embossed my Mother’s Day sentiment onto vellum with white embossing powder and then backed it up with a piece of aqua mist card stock. Once that was done, I used one of my favorite sets, Blossoming Branches along with the dies and stamped them in hibiscus burst and simply chartreuse ink. To finish off my card I added some iridescent sequins.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy Mother's Day Roses - {PP241/CTS#119}

 Hello!  I had some time in my craft studio over the weekend and was able to create a few cards, one of them is the Mother's Day card I'm sharing today.  I used two challenges as inspiration for my card, the first one is the Paper Players Challenge #241 Clean and Simple: Watercolor and the second CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #119.
For my card, I used the Altenew stamp set Painted Flowers and for the sentiment the PTI stamp set Happy Hydrangea.  I used an aqua mist card base and a piece of watercolor paper to first stamp my roses and leaves (raspberry fizz and limeade ice) then wet the area around the stamped roses and drop in aqua mist ink using my paintbrush.  Once that was dry, I stamped the black outline for the roses and added my sentiment banner along with some diamond Stickles on the roses and a few sequins for my background.

I hope you have a good Monday!

Happy Mother's Day - {C4C282}

Hello friends!  It's the third Saturday of the month over at the Crazy-4-Challenges site and time for a sketch challenge.  I designed the sketch below for this week's challenge and hope you'll join in and play along.
For my card, I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Garden Grace to create a Mother's Day card.  I started out with a white card base, then added an embossed center panel of aqua mist.  Next I added my sentiment banner and stamped and die cut floral piece.  I stamped the outline of the leaves in tropical teal and the inside in aqua mist and for the roses, I stamped the outline in scarlet jewel and the insides in rose red (su).  I added some red Stickles to the centers of the roses for a little sparkle and popped the whole image up using foam tape.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created:

PS For any who are interested, I've reopened my Etsy shop.  You can click on the link here or find the link to my Etsy shop in the sidebar of my blog.  I'll be updating and adding new items to my shop weekly.  Thank you!

PTI February Blog Hop - Happy Mother's Day

Good morning!  Today is the Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop The inspiration for this month's hop is Spring.  I don't know about you but I'm ready for spring, this winter has been a long snowy one and the thought of seeing something green and growing sound wonderful.
Although roses aren't necessarily the first spring flowers that pop to mind, I decided to use them anyway to create a floral Mother's Day card. I used the new Papertrey Ink stamp set Garden Grace with the coordinating dies.  For my layout I used the Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #116.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!  Today I have a special card that I've created for my mom for Mother's Day to along with the gift I have for her and I hope she likes it.  This is also not just any blog post but my 1000 post here on my little old blog.  It's hard to believe almost five years ago I started this blog as a way of sharing what I love to do and connecting with people.  I've met (in person and through the Internet) so many wonderful people and have learned so much through my years of stamping and card making.  As a way of saying thank you to the people who visit, subscribe and leave sweet comments on my cards and projects, I have a gift.  I'm giving away a $15.00 gift certificate to Papertrey Ink, and all you have to do is leave me a comment here on this post and tell me "What is (or was) your most favorite gift that you have ever given or received on Mother's Day".  One comment per person please.  I'll be choosing the winner Tuesday after 4pm EST.  Good luck!
To create my mom's card I used Jen's May Sketch For You to Try for my layout and as my inspiration I used the Shabby Tea Room Challenge #113 "Pretty as a Pitcher", the challenge was to create a card using a pitcher, the colors from the inspiration photo and a rose.  Well I didn't have a pitcher so I went with the teapot from the Papertrey Ink Tea for Two stamp set.  I started out with a crumb cake card base, added a white panel with a piece of Crate Paper (Emma's Shoppe Collection) designer paper on top.  Then added the floral October Afternoon designer paper and yellow gingham strips with border and tied on my ribbon.  For my main image I used the PTI stamp sets Garden Variety II with seed packet die, Year of Flowers Titles, Tea for Two with teapot die and Rosie Posie with dies.  I stamped the die cut seed frame in crumb cake and the "Roses" in ruby red, then die cut the teapot from the back side of the red polka dot designer paper and stamped the outline.  I backed the seed frame with another piece of October Afternoon designer paper and arranged my teapot, leaves and roses then taped them down popping a single rose.  For my final touches I added a row of pearls to the bottom strip of gingham paper, the mom tag, paper rose and two stick pins.
Supplies: Tea for Two & die, Garden Variety II & die, Rosie Posie & dies, Tiny Tags & die, Year of Flowers Titles, Filigree Border die, Crate Paper designer paper, October Afternoon designer paper, Seam binding, Daffodil Delight reinker, Paper rose, Stick pins, Copic markers, Taylor Expressions Leafy die, Pearls, Foam tape.  Colors: Crumb Cake, Ruby Red, Regal Rose, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight.

To all of the Mom's out there, I hope you have a relaxing and peaceful day doing what you enjoy.

Spring Potted Pansies

Hello, today I have another project that we made at my Stamp Camp last week.  I had so much fun creating my Valentine Sweetheart Potted Flower card here that I decided I wanted to have the ladies from Stamp Camp create one that was springy.  I wanted the flowers to look like pansies so I went with the two shades of purple with the yellow centers for the flowers and used Really Rust for the pot to give it a clay pot look.  I gave each lady that came to Camp the option to make her card for what ever occasion she wanted by using the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (love this set) for the tag on the front of the card.
Supplies: With All My Heart, Extra Large Fancy Flower punch, Sweetheart (for the leaves), Well Scripted, Trio Flower punch, Scallop border punch, Ribbon, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Piercer, Pop dot.  Colors: Elegant Eggplant, Lovely Lilac, Old Olive, Summer Sun, Really Rust.
Thank you for your visit!
