Poppin’ Up to Say...

Hello there and happy Friday! Today I’m sharing another card that I created using the sketch challenge from the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge.

To create my card, I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Let’s Toast along with the Let’s Toast dies. I paper pieced the toaster by stamping it first onto white cardstock and then again onto a piece of gray checked Doodlebug Designs paper cutting out the gray checked top portion of the toaster and gluing it onto the cardstock one. Next I stamped and colored the pop-tarts using Copic markers and stamped the sprinkles using Plastic Flamingo, Freshly Cut Grass and Carrot Lawn Fawn ink. I die cut my main panel using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables die and some hot pink Doodlebug Designs paper along with some yellow Spring Fling paper. After that, I die cut my white circle using the Small Stitched Circle Stackables and added my toaster with pop-tarts with foam tape. For my sentiment, I used the Happy, Happy, Happy stamp set and dies and stamped the Happy word in Plastic Flamingo. I die cut three of the happy sentiments and glued them all together for add dimension. I stamped the birthday portion of my sentiment onto an Everyday Sentiment Banners.

Silver White Winters - (CTD471)

It's Wednesday and time for this week's new Color Throwdown Challenge!
This card was a bear to make, lol!  I think because I have a bunch of things on my mind that my head was not into creating and I re-made this card about 5 times and still done care for it.  But its done using this week's CTD colors and the sketch challenge from the Freshly Made Sketches #315.  I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Silver White Winters along with the coordinating snowflake dies.  I heat embossed my sentiment using silver embossing powder and stamped the swirls and smaller snowflakes in gray ink onto soft stone colored cardstock.  I die cut a large and smaller sized snowflake from silver metallic paper and one smaller snowflake in gold glitter paper.  I popped up the soft stone panel and oval die cut sentiment pieces with foam tape and added silver and gold sequins to finish it off.

Wishing You Sunny Days

Hello there!  I'm dropping in today to share a card that I made for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #321.

I used the MFT stamp set Adorable Elephants and Adorable Elephants Die-namics to create my card along with the stamp set Fall Friends for my sentiment.  I started out with a white card base which I blended on some tumbled glass ink across the top, then added a die cut sun in the top corner.  Next I die cut some clouds using the Lawn Fawn Puffy Clouds Borders and added a yellow scalloped circle with my white cardstock circle which I blended on more tumbled glass ink and a green hillside. I stamped and die cut my images and then colored them with Copic markers.  I then adhered them to my die cut circle, popping up the little elephant.  I used a piece of MFT Dots & Stripes Sorbet designer paper along the bottom, added a strip of yellow cardstock and my die cut Stitched Sentiment strip.  To finish off my card, I tied on some black and white bakers twine and added some wink of stella glitter to the sun and butterflies.

Hello - (CTD425)

Happy Wednesday!  It's time for this week's new Color Throwdown Challenge!
I'm loving the color combo we have for our CTD challenge this week with the yellow, blue and black.  So much so that I created two cards using these pretty colors.  One of the cards that I made I'm entering into the current Fusion Challenge.  For both cards, I used the My Favorite Things stamp set Bold Blooms along with the Thanks & Hello Die-namics.
For my first card, I used the MFT Diagonal Stripes stencil and turned the stencil so the stripes were vertical and stenciled on some basic gray ink onto basic gray cardstock and adhered it onto my card base.  Next I used one of the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges and die cut a piece of white cardstock.  I also die cut a daffodil yellow Hello from the Thanks & Hello dies and blended on some mustard seed distress ink along the bottom.  After that I stamped and die cut all of my flowers and bits using the Bold Blooms Die-namics and added some dimension to them by doing a little Copic marker coloring on some of the flowers.  I stamped the flowers in daffodil delight and marine mist and the leaves in basic gray.  After arranging my flowers, I adhered them onto my white die cut piece, popping up the large yellow flower and then added foam tape to the back of my white Stitched Scallop Edges piece before adding it to my card base.  To finish off my card, I added some black rhinestones, one on the large yellow flower and three scattered around.
For my second card, I basically repeated most of the steps from my first card except I changed my layout.

When You're Not Here - (CTD416)

Hi there!  I'm late with my Color Throwdown Challenge post for today but better late than never.  Since I was late, I was able to use this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge to go along with the pretty color combination we have over at the Color Throwdown.
For my card I used the My Favorite Things stamp sets Pretty Posies with the Pretty Posies Die-namics and I Knead You with the I Knead You Die-namics.  Looking at the CTD inspiration photo I wanted to use a floral set but also wanted something cute thrown in.  I used a strip of polka dotted coral colored paper from the MFT Dots & Stripes Sorbet paper pack then added an embossed piece of kraft cardstock.  Next I stamped, colored (with Copic markers) and die cut my floral images and cat along with the Single Stitched Oval Die-namics Frame.  For the inside of the frame, I blended on some melon berry ink and used the same ink for two of my flowers along with some tropical teal and rich razzelberry.  After that I stamped my sentiment on a banner and adhered all my pieces down onto my card, popping up the largest coral flower with foam tape and gluing on some teal sequins.

Fall Fun Week! - Day 4

Hi there!  It's Fall Fun Week - Day 4 and today I've got a fall card that I created using this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #302.
For my card today, I used the My Favorite Things Hello Die-namics along with the cute stamp set Fall Friends and Fall Friends Die-namics and for my sentiment I used one of my favorites, Label Maker Sentiments.  I wanted to do something different using the Hello Die-namics, so I decided to make my own designer paper to die cut my hello die.  I used a variety of fall colored Copic markers to create a plaid pattern onto white cardstock (I would advise using a ruler to draw your Copic lines unlike what I did), I used the chiseled tip of the marker instead of the brush tip to make my lines.  This could work where you could make any pattern and die cut the letters from, dots, squiggles you name it, it's fun!  Once my hello letters where die cut, I die cut the letters again from a heaver weight white cardstock and glued them together.  For the top portion of my card I used watercolor paper and blended on some wild honey distress ink.  For the bottom portion of my card, I used the MFT Chevron Grid Stencil and stenciled on some canyon craze ink over canyon craze cardstock.  For my horizontal strip I used some chocolate chip cardstock and die cut a portion of the Single Stitched Rectangle Frame and adhered it along the top of my strip.  The fun finishing touches where to add my stamped, colored and die cut owl and leaves along with my friend sentiment.  I also added some Glossy Accents to the owls eyes as a little detail.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll pop in tomorrow for my next Fall Fun card!

Have a Magical Day!

Happy Saturday!  It's a rainy day here today and I'm glad, once in a while you need a rainy day.  Other than running to the farmers market this morning and doing some cleaning, I was able to finish a book I was reading and make a few cards (it's a good day!).
The card I'm sharing today is one I created using two different challenges.  I used the Lawnscaping Challenge #137 which is to add texture to your card and the Fusion Challenge for it's sketch and a bit of color.
For my card, I used the sweet Lawn Fawn stamp set Fairy Friends along with the coordinating Fairy Friends Lawn Cuts.  I started out with a white card base, then added an embossed white panel using the an embossing folder.  Then I die cut a rectangle of white cardstock and using chipped sapphire & mustard seed distress inks I blended a morning sky, added green hills cut with the Stitched Hillside Border dies with one hill embossed with polka dots and my stamped sentiment on a banner.  I stamped, colored with Copic markers and die cut the swirly fronds, lantern, flowers and fairy from the set and added them to my scene, popping up the fairy and lantern.  As a final touch I tied on some black & white bakers twine and added some yellow Stickles for some glitter.
Hope you're having a good weekend!
