Best Days - CTD677

Hi there, crafty friends! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have the colors pink, purple and green to create with and we hope you’ll play along.
For my card I used the sweet Hello Bluebird stamp set Best Days along with the coordinating dies to create a fun scene. I started by stamping, die cutting and coloring all of my images with copic markers, next I used my trusty Outside in Stitched Rectangle dies and die cut a piece of Doodlebug gingham purple paper and a white card stock rectangle which I used a cloud stencil and some tumbled glass distress oxide on. I also used the Grassy Hillside Borders die with some new leaf card stock for the bottom of my scene and stamped my sentiment onto a white banner that I die cut using the Everyday Sentiment Banners.

Lemon Blossom

Hello there! Today I’m sharing a birthday card that I created for my sister-in-law’s 60th birthday. Both of us love lemons and honey and my sister-in-law has always loved the lemon tree I have in our breakfast nook so I decided to go with the lemon theme. I also had a pretty lemon gift bag as my inspiration for my card.
To create my card I used The Greetery’s Lemon Blossom stamp set and dies along with the Papertrey Ink stamp set Big Birthday Wishes and coordinating number dies.

For my background, I used the Outside in Stitched Rectangle dies and die cut a panel of white card stock then blended on some speckled egg distress oxide ink. After that I added some splatters of white paint and set it aside to dry. Next I die cut a bunch of the lemon shapes using the Lemon Blossom dies and stamped the lemons in daffodil delight and mango melon ink, the flowers in pretty in pink and the leaves in new leaf ink.
I adhered all of the stamped lemons, leaves and flowers onto my ink blended background and then added some clear sugary looking glitter to the lemons and some gold glitter to the centers of the flowers. Once that was done I heat embossed my sentiment in white onto a piece of vellum and die cut three sets of the numbers and glued them together and adhered all of that to the front of my card.
Other than the lemon card, I purchased a larger lemon tree for my sister-in-law and in the gift bag I added some honey, lemon cookies, lemon candle, lemon soap, lemon lotion and hand sanitizer. I think she really loved it!

Time to Celebrate - CTD676

Today I’m sharing my card for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where the colors are red, cream and gold.
To create my card I used the MFT stamp set, Celebrate with Cake along with the coordinating dies. I honestly don’t know if this set is available or retired but its a fun set to stamp with and can work for a number of different occasions.

I stamped the cake layers in antique linen distress oxide ink, the cake stand in chocolate chip, the flowers in real red and the leaves in new leaf ink. In the center of each flower I added some gold Stickles glitter and popped up the cake and stand using foam tape. The background was die cut using the Outside In Stitched Rectangles dies and I used some woodgrain, Doodlebug pale yellow dotted paper and white card stock. I stamped my sentiment onto a white banner that I die cut using the essential fishtail sentiment strips dies.

Holiday Hello - CTD674

Hello, hello! It’s the first Color Throwdown Challenge of the year and we’ve got some great colors to get us started!
For my card, I created a square holiday card using the Hello Bluebird stamp set Frosty Littles along with the coordinating dies. I used the Outside in Stitched Square dies as well as the Stitched Hillside Borders dies. For the background of my scene I blended on some hickory smoke and black soot distress oxide ink. I stamped and die cut my images and colored them using copic markers. To add a little sparkle, I added some iridescent and gold glitter to the stars and snowy ground.

Sweet Christmas Wishes - CTD673

Hello and Happy New Year!! Today I’m sharing some Christmas gift tags I created to go with some little goodies I wrapped up for the women I work with. I also used the Color Throwdown Challenge #673 which was the last challenge of the year for 2021. I’m behind schedule due to the fact that our family had covid right before and during Christmas which was definitely not fun but thank God we are all well now.
To create my Christmas gift tags, I used the adorable Hello Bluebird stamp set Sweet Christmas along with the coordinating Sweet Christmas dies. I started out by stamping and die cutting my images then coloring them using copic markers. After that I used the Stitched Scalloped Circle Frames dies and die cut them from regal rose card stock. Next I die cut white circles and using my Misti tool stamped all the sentiments then glued on my rose colored scalloped frames and added my images, popping up the gingerbread images. To finish them off I added glitter to the gumdrops and tied on some red and white bakers twine.
Inside the goodie bags I put a few Ghirardelli peppermint bark chocolates, a soft peppermint candy and a Chap Stick. In total I made eight of these tags and goodie bags.
