For my card, I used the vibrant colors from this week's CTD challenge with the Papertrey Ink stamp set, Bold Blossoms and combined that with the current Papertrey Ink Make-it-Monday Challenge #281 which is to create patterns behind die cut windows.
To create my card, I started out by die cutting an oval from the front of a white card base to create my window. Next I die cut a PTI stitched oval frame that was from the sprinkles & shakers die collection and glued that over the top of my window. Then using black palette ink I stamped all of my flowers and leaves onto watercolor paper and using some Jane Davenport watercolors (I absolutely love the intensity of her watercolors) I watercolored my stamped images. In the PTI video where Dawn McVey demos how she created her card, she states that you can use anything from stencils, patterned paper or even ink blending so with the busyness of my watercolored flowers, I decided to go with a blended ink and used some wilted violet distress ink on a piece of white cardstock, making it darker at the bottom and lighter at the top. Once my blending was done, I sprinkled on some water droplets and blotted them with paper towel. Then lining up my ink blended piece of cardstock behind my die cut window, I stamped my sentiment from the Bold Blossoms set and adhered it on the inside of my card. After that I adhered my leaves and flowers popping up the small red flower with foam tape and gluing on a few silver sequins for some sparkle.

Hello there! I'm hostess this week over on the Color Throwdown Challenge and I've chosen a springtime color palette for us to create with using the colors coral, yellow, leaf green and white.
For my card, I used the My Favorite Things Stamp set, Bold Blooms along with the coordinating Bold Blooms Die-namics to create a birthday card. I started out with a white card base, then added a panel of watercolor paper that I had watercolored using some twisted citron distress ink. Once the watercoloring was dry, I die cut and embossed my watercolor panel using a scalloped rectangle die and stitched rectangle die. After that, I stamping my flowers and leaf images in berry sorbet, pure poppy, honey nut, new leaf and daffodil delight ink and then die cutting them out. Next I used the MFT Happy Birthday Die-namics die to die cut my sentiment from daffodil cardstock and blended on some daffodil ink along the bottom. Once all of my stamped/die cut pieces were done, I added them to my card front popping up the largest flower and adding some iridescent Stickles to the center and a few pale green iridescent sequins.

Hello there! Good morning! It's Wednesday and time for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge. Before I get to my card, I'd like to welcome our April Guest Designer, the talented Jeanne Jachna.
For my card, I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Fairy Friends and Fairy Friends Lawn Cuts to create a spring time birthday card. I started out with a white card base, added a panel of aqua mist cardstock that I stamped with a cloud stamp from the Hello Sunshine stamp set. On top of that, I added a vertical strip of white cardstock and along the bottom, I added a piece of new leaf cardstock that I die cut using the Grassy Hillside Borders which I stamped using the sentiment from the Fairy Friends set. The fun part of creating this card was adding the Fancy Folded Banners which I stamped using the Happy, Happy, Happy set and the stamped, colored and die cut fairies and tulips. For some added detail, I adhered the fairies with foam tape and added some Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to their wings and some white gel pen to all the images.
