Halloween Gift Tags - CTD615

Hello, crafty friends! It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge. As soon as I saw the colors for this week’s challenge I thought of making fun tags for Halloween goody bags.

To create my Halloween gift tags, I used the adorable Hello Bluebird stamp set Frightful Little Bits which I stamped, die cut and colored using Copic markers. I used the Stitched Circle Tags and die cut them from black card stock then used a circle dies and die cut white circles for the images and orange circles for a mat.

I used some kraft card stock which I die cut using a circle die and again using the Stitched Hillside Borders dies and I also blended on some walnut stain distress ink along the bottom of each piece.

I added my images, popping up the main images with foam tape, and adhered all of them in little groupings on each tag then added some black and white bakers twine to finish them off.

Best Witches Center Picture Window Card - CTD565

Hello and happy Wednesday! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have the colors gray, lavender and black to create with.

Using this week’s colors, I made a spooky Halloween Center Picture Window card. I used the Lawn Fawn Center Picture Window Card dies along with the Center Picture Window Add-On dies with the cute Booyah ghost stamp set and Booyah dies. The first thing I did to create my card was to die cut all of the main pieces to the Center Picture Window card from white card stock. After that I stamped all of my images and colored them using Copic markers. Next I used some black soot and wilted violet distress oxide ink and a cloud stencil and  blended on first the front background panel and then the inside card panels. I masked off a circle for the moon on both pieces before blending. I used the Spooky Fence border die with black card stock for both the front and inside and used the spider from the Cute Cobweb dies for the inside shadow box background. The sentiment and headstone on the front of the card are from the Spooktacular stamp set and dies and the pumpkins on the inside of the card are from the Pick of the Patch stamp set and dies. This was a fun card to make but it definitely took some time with all of the little details.

Hey Ghoul Friend - CTD563

Hello there! Happy Wednesday and the beginning of October! For this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge we have the perfect colors to start off this month but before I get to my card, I’d like to welcome this month’s guest designer, Rosemary Dennis

For my card, I used the fun Lawn Fawn stamp set Booyah along with the coordinating Booyah dies. I started out by stamping all of my images, coloring them with Copic markers and then die cutting them out. For the moon, stars and headstone I used the Spooktacular stamp set and dies and for the small pumpkin I used the Happy Harvest stamp set and dies. I die cut a piece of black card stock using the Peekaboo Backdrop as a frame for my images along with the SpookyFence Border and the spider from the Cute Cobweb die. I used some wilted violet and black soot distress oxide ink and blended on my background then sprinkled it with water and blotting with a paper towel. Next I heat embossed the Happy Halloween with white embossing powder and stamped the Hey Ghoul Friend onto an Everyday Sentiment Banners. It's difficult to tell from the pictures but I used a silver metallic pen on the lightning bolt in the hair of the one ghost and some Wink of Stella clear glitter on the moon and stars.

Happy Halloween - (CTD465)

Hi there!  Hope your week is going good so far.  We have a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge that starts today and we'd love it if you'd play along.

 For my card, I used the colors from this week's challenge and the Lawn Fawn stamp set, Booyah along with the Booyah dies to create a Halloween card.  I started out with a white card base that I blended on some pumice stone distress ink around the top edges.  Next I used the Leafy Tree Backdrop:Landscape die and die cut it twice using black cardstock along with the Little Picket Fence Border.  I also die cut a piece of lovely lilac cardstock using the Stitched Hillside Borders die and blended on some wilted violet distress ink along the edges.  I adhered the upper right tree first, trimming a bit, then the picket fence with hill and then the left black tree with frame.  Next I stamped my sentiment using the Happy Happy Happy Add On set and die and I stamped and added some Copic marker to my ghost and die cut them out then adhered each of them with foam tape.

Halloween Tags - (CTD461)

Hello and happy Saturday!  I'm finally posting the Halloween tags I created for the current Color Throwdown Challenge.  I've been having some photo uploading problems where the photos I take with my iPhone are not uploading to my Mac computer.  It's frustrating!  But I've got it working for right now even though I'm unable to use the photo editing program I usually use.

 Using this week's colors from the CTD challenge, I created a set of Halloween tags using the Lawn Fawn Stamp set, Booyah and the Booyah dies.  I die cut three white tags (I wish I had made them black but oh well) using the Stitched Circle Tags dies, then die cut circles of lovely lilac cardstock for each tag and blended on some wilted violet distress ink along the tops.  Next I used the Starry Backdrops set to stamp the stars on each lilac circle and attached them to the tag bases.  I die cut some new leaf cardstock using the Stitched Hillside Borders die and stamped each of the sentiments which were from the Spooktacular stamp set.  I stamped all of my images and colored them with Copic markers, then die cut them out and attached them to my tags with foam tape.  To finish off my tags, I added some white gel pen highlights to my images, some Yellow Stickles on the stars and some black and white bakers twine.  I love making fun tags like this that I can attach to goodie bags filled with treats that I can give away.

Happy Halloween Pop-Up Card

Hi there!  Today I'm popping in to share a fun Halloween Pop-up box card I created.  Yes I know, Halloween is more than a month away but since fall is my favorite time of year I figured I'd get started making some projects. I used the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Card Pop-up die to create my card base and the adorable Halloween Lawn Fawn stamp set Booyah along with the coordinating Booyah dies.  The ghost from this set are just too cute and so fun to mix and match with different costumes.  I'm entering my Halloween pop-up card into the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge which is to create a scene.  Hopefully my card counts as a three dimensional scene.

Above is a quick video of my card and how it folds flat for mailing and what it looks like from different angles.

I stamped out my different images from the Booyah set, along with a few images from the Spooktacular stamp set, and colored them with Copic markers and added some white gel pen highlights. (The picture above is from my Instagram page where I'm playing along with The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge). Next I die cut the Scalloped Box Card from black cardstock and the side panels from some Doodlebug Designs Halloween Parade designer paper.  I also die cut the Cute Cobweb from black cardstock and glued it to the front lower panel and the smaller spider to the side panel.  For my Happy Halloween sentiment, I used the Happy, Happy, Happy stamp set and dies and the Halloween sentiment from the Booyah set I stamped onto a Fancy Folded Banners die.  The hills inside the box were created with lavender lace cardstock which were die cut using the Stitched Hillside Borders and then I blended on some wilted violet distress ink.  Attached behind each hill, I added a black fence using the Little Picket Fence Border die and then I attached all of my images. It's difficult to see in the pictures, but I added some silver glitter gel pen to the lightning bolt in the purple hair of the one ghost and some yellow glitter gel pen on the bolts and buckle on the other two ghost.  And I added some yellow Stickles on the stars on the background panel.
