Hello - (CTD433)

Hello there!  It's time for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge.
For my card, I used the My Favorite Things stamp set Pretty Posies with the Pretty Posies Die-namics to make a card for a friend of mine.  I used the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge from last week for my layout and kept my card fairly clean and simple.  On my white card base, I added a strip of brocade blue cardstock toward the bottom, then I added a white die cut Single Stitched Line Rectangle frame.  Next I stamped my flowers using brocade blue ink and new leaf ink, then die cut them out and adhered them to my card.  After that I die cut three hellos from white cardstock using the Hello There Die-namics and glued them all together and added them to my card along with my friend sentiment which was stamped from the Label Maker Sentiment set.  As a finishing touch I added some silver gems and of course you can't have a naked envelope:)

Happy Purrthday

Hi there, crafty friends!  Happy Saturday!  I've got a set of birthday cards that I created using some new Lawn Fawn goodies I received last week. I used the newly released Lawn Fawn stamp set Meow You Doin' with the Meow You Doin' Lawn Cuts and Happy Happy Happy with the Happy Happy Happy Lawn Cuts. I used the same card layout for each card but with different colors and cats.
I'm participating in this month's Daily Marker 30 Day Color Challenge over on Instagram and the other day I colored a sheet of these adorable cat images thinking I would make a small batch of birthday cards for my stash.  All of the cat and other images from the Meow You Doin' set that I used were colored with Copic markers and were adhered to the cards with foam tape.  To create my scenes, I die cut a square of white cardstock and blended on some tumbled glass distress ink for the sky and used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts for the hill.  Next I stamped my Happy sentiment and die cut that image plus 3 more so that I could glue them all together for more dimension.  After that I die cut one of the new Fancy Folded Banners and stamped the Purrthday (only half of the sentiment on this stamp) and supported the center with two strips of foam tape.
These cards were so fun to create!  Each a little different than the other but still similar.  I added a little something different in the corner of each card, either a paw print, a mouse or a heart, all from the set and tied on some black and white bakers twine.
The square stitched frame and scallop frame are from the Papertrey Ink Shakers & Sprinkles kit I purchased a few years ago.
It's difficult to see in the photos, but on each of the cards I used some Wink of Stella glitter pen on the party hat and candle flame.

Happy Birthday - (CTD432)

Happy March 1st!  I'm running behind schedule for my Color Throwdown post today but wanted to make sure I got it up on my blog.  We've got some wonderful bright and cheerful colors to create with this week and we hope you'll play along with the challenge.  Before I get to my card for today, I'd like to welcome this month's CTD Guest Designer, Lisa Lara.
For my card, I used some fun new Lawn Fawn goodies I got in the mail last Friday.  I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Happy, Happy, Happy along with the coordinating Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy Lawn Cuts.  I also used the new Fancy Folded Banners Lawn Cuts to stamp my birthday sentiment on and the stamp set Party Animal and Lawn Cuts where I used the little bird images and the balloon image which I paper pieced with patterned paper.  And for the white panel behind my birds, balloons and Happy Birthday, I used the LF stamp set Hello Sunshine and stamped the cloud images in hawaiian shores.  A few little details:  I used some foam tape in the center of my stamped banner so it wouldn't collapse in the middle and I also used foam tape on the birds and the very top of the balloons.  I've linked to all of the stamp sets and dies within this post and pictured below.

Wishing You Sunny Days

Hello there!  I'm dropping in today to share a card that I made for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #321.

I used the MFT stamp set Adorable Elephants and Adorable Elephants Die-namics to create my card along with the stamp set Fall Friends for my sentiment.  I started out with a white card base which I blended on some tumbled glass ink across the top, then added a die cut sun in the top corner.  Next I die cut some clouds using the Lawn Fawn Puffy Clouds Borders and added a yellow scalloped circle with my white cardstock circle which I blended on more tumbled glass ink and a green hillside. I stamped and die cut my images and then colored them with Copic markers.  I then adhered them to my die cut circle, popping up the little elephant.  I used a piece of MFT Dots & Stripes Sorbet designer paper along the bottom, added a strip of yellow cardstock and my die cut Stitched Sentiment strip.  To finish off my card, I tied on some black and white bakers twine and added some wink of stella glitter to the sun and butterflies.
