RS#23 - Exciting News!

Hi there!  I've got some exciting news to share today, I've been asked to be the first "Retro Sketches Headliner" and design cards along with the Retro Sketches design team through the month of August!  Yay!  I'm really looking forward to working with the talented women from the RS team, I've been a fan of the sketch challenges since they've started.
Above is the fun Retro Sketch challenge #23 for this week.  For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Heart-2-Heart #6 along with the coordinating dies to create a get well card.
Supplies: Heart-2-Heart + dies, Simple Stripes IP, Bitty Bird (for the swirly border), Scallop border punch, Buttons, Bakers twine, Foam tape.  Colors: Marina Mist, Real Red, Daffodil Delight.

Be sure to pop over to the RetroSketches blog to check out what Arielle, Kasia and Laurie have in store for you, then link up your own fabulous take on this cute sketch.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hello Sunshine!

Good Friday morning to all of you!  Today I have a group of get well cards that I created for a card order using the Papertrey Ink stamp set Hello Sunshine.  Yellow is one of my favorite colors which I used as inspiration for these cards, it's cheerful, sunny and makes me happy, because of that I have one of my Pinterest boards dedicated specifically just for that.  So if you're interested you can click here to take a peek and hopefully it puts a smile on your face.
For the first card I created I used the sketch over at the EP Paper Blog, I really liked this layout and even though I didn't use Echo Park products to join in the challenge I still used the sketch.
Supplies: Hello Sunshine, Simple Stripes IP, Heart-2-Heart cloud dies, Banner die, Nesties, Buttons, Bakers Twine, Ribbon, Polka dot embossing folder, Foam tape.  Color: Daffodil Delight.

Keep your face to the sunshine and you will never see the shadows

OCCC - Poppies with Sympathy

Hello there!  This is a quick post for today using the Our Creative Corner Challenge.  The challenge was not only to use the colors from the photo below but to include either fabric or circles into your project.  For me I used buttons as my circles and I used all of the colors but very little of the pink.  I stamped soft splashes of the pink within the backdrop of my image.

Supplies: Botanical Silhouettes, Simple Stripes Impressions plate, Buttons, Foam tape.
