Where it Leads

Hello, crafty friends! I’m sharing another card that I created for the Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper April release featuring the stamp set, Where It Leads.
The Where It Leads stamp set is such a great set for scene building, for my card I used the set to create a beach scene by adding the seagulls from the Seas of Life stamp set and adding some watercolor.

To create my card I used a panel of water color paper and watercolored the top portion aqua blue color and the bottom in a sandy beige. I die cut all of my images using the Where It Leads dies and I stamped out the steps image in chocolate and kraft ink, the grasses in ripe avocado, the rocks and seagulls in gray and the shrubs in new leaf inks. I stamped my sentiment from the from the Just Sentiments: Steps set onto a die cut circle and added foam tape to the bottom of the steps, three of the rocks and the sentiment circle.

Seas of Life Birthday Card - CTD641

Good morning! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have some great new colors to create with.
For my card I used the new Seas of Life stamp set and dies from the April release for Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper. This set is awesome for masculine cards and perfect for creating a birthday card for my brother who loves the nautical look.
To create my card I first used the Seas of Life dies and die cut the pieces I knew I wanted to use. Next I stamped the sailboat in chocolate, hawaiian shores and pure poppy ink, the sun in harvest gold and the seagulls and anchor in smoky shadow ink.

I die cut a square of white card stock and stamped the wave images from the set in hawaiian shores, added my sailboat with foam tape and adhered the seagulls and sun. I attached my square to a piece of kraft card stock that I stamped using the Weaved Background stamp. On top of my white card base, I added some strips of chocolate and pure poppy card stock and I stamped my sentiment onto a die cut banner and added my anchor.

Scenic Path Mother’s Day Card

Hello! I’m popping in today to share another card that I created as a guest designer for Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper. Today I’m sharing a Mother’s Day card that features the new Scenic Path cover plate die.
To create my card, I started out by using the Scenic Path cover plate die and die cutting it from spring moss card stock. Next I used the shrub stamp from the new Where it Leads stamp set and stamped the die cut shrubs from the cover plate and blended on some spring moss ink. On my white card base, I blended on some
hibiscus burst and spring moss ink.

After that, I used the new Mother & Father sentiment stamp set and heat embossed my Mother’s Day sentiment onto vellum with white embossing powder and then backed it up with a piece of aqua mist card stock. Once that was done, I used one of my favorite sets, Blossoming Branches along with the dies and stamped them in hibiscus burst and simply chartreuse ink. To finish off my card I added some iridescent sequins.

Feathered Friends Birthday - CTD640

Hello there! I’m late to the party for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge but I’m finally getting my card posted. We’ve got some lovely colors for this weeks challenge and there’s still time to play along.
For my card I used the Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper stamp set Effortless Beauties along with the Effortless Beauties dies. I also used the sweet Feathered Friends 2 Dies for the bird I added to my card.
For my roses, I stamped them in pretty in pink ink then stamped off before stamping on my die cut piece then stamped the second layer in calypso coral ink stamped off and then I went back to roll just the edges of the first solid flower stamp in pretty in pink. I stamped the leaves in simply chartreuse and ripe avocado inks. Next I used the Love to Layer:Scalloped Circle dies and die cut the largest circle from white card stock. For my sentiment I use the happy birthday from the Feathered Friends Mini 3 stamp set. For my background papers, I use a coral gingham paper from Doodlebug Designs, a pale pink from Echo Park and the striped green from Papertrey Ink.

Feathered Friends Mini - CTD639

Hello and happy Wednesday! I’m sharing another card as a guest designer for Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper for this month and also for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we’ve got the warm color palette of yellow, orange, red and kraft.
For my card I used the sweet new Feathered Friends Mini 10 stamp set and die along with the Blooming Branches stamp set (one of my favorites) and Blooming Branches dies. I stamped the flowers in bright buttercup with orange centers, the leaves in kraft and the branch in chocolate ink. For the cute parrot, I stamped him in orange, pure poppy and bright buttercup ink.

I used the Mix & Mat: Scallops die and die cut it from white for the frame and harvest gold for the center. For the background I used some canyon clay card stock and adhered it to my card base then used a second piece and die cut it using the Ornate cover plate and glued that on top. To finish off my card I glued on some iridescent sequins.

Seas of Life Card Set

Hi there! Today I’m sharing two more cards that I designed for the Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper April release. Both of my cards featured the new Seas of Life stamp set.
For my first card, I started out by using the Seas of Life dies to die cut the sail boat, wheel, sun and seagulls and then stamped them in enchanted evening, pure poppy, spring rain, harvest gold, kraft, dark chocolate and smoky shadow. Next I cut a rectangle from white card stock and stamped the wave images along the bottom. After that I randomly stamped the ship wheel onto a panel of enchanted evening for my background and then used the new Weaved Background stamp to stamp a piece of kraft card stock. Once that was done, I assembled my card, popping up the sail boat with foam tape, added my sentiment and tied on a piece of twine.
For my next card, I again used the Seas of Life stamp set and dies and die cut and stamped in the same colored inks but I used the Tin Stitched Border Bling die for my background and used one of the larger sentiments from the set as a focal point.

Exciting News!

Hello there! Today I’ve got some exciting news to share, I was asked to be a guest designer for Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper for this month and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
For my first card, I used two new products that were just released yesterday, the first is the beautiful new Blooming Thoughts stamp set and Blooming Thoughts dies and the second is the Feathered Friends 10 die set. The Blooming Thoughts stamp set is so soft and pretty and not only has some wonderful sentiments included but can be used in many different ways. And the Feathered Friends 10 die set has such great detail to create a realistic bird or create a bird from your imagination.

To create my card I first die cut the stems from the Blooming Thoughts set and stamped them using enchanted evening, spring rain and simply chartreuse ink. Next I die cut all of the pieces for my bird from spring rain card stock and ink blended on some faded jeans, chipped sapphire, spiced marmalade and ripe persimmon destress oxide inks. For my background I die cut the Ornate Cover Plate in soft stone and adhered it to a piece of soft stone card stock for a subtle background.

Once that was done I stamped my sentiment onto a white rectangle, added a horizontal strip of spring rain card stock, added my stems and adhered my die cut blue bird with foam tape. To finish off my card I added a few iridescent sequins.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you’ll pop over to the Papertrey Ink site and check out all of the fantastic new products that were just released!

Effortless Beauties Card Set - CTD636

Good morning and happy Wednesday! Today I have a card set that I created for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where the colors are blush pink, dark pink and cream.
Once I saw the colors for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge I pictured the card above in my mind. To create my cards I used the Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper stamp set Effortless Beauties along with the coordinating Effortless Beauties dies. I used the same supplies on both cards.
For my first card, I used the Cover Plate: Vines for the background and used it to die cut white card stock. I stamped all the leaves from the Effortless Beauties set using antique linen distress oxide ink and chocolate chip ink and the smaller bud flowers were stamped in pink passion ink.
To stamp the roses, I first stamped them in my lightest pink, pink pirouette and then using the same solid stamp I rolled the edges of it in pretty in pink ink. After that I inked up the second layer for the rose stamp in pink passion ink and stamped off. Then finally I inked up the same stamp image again in pink passion except I wiped off all the ink on the stamp except for the center of the rose and stamped again. I hope that makes sense, it took a bit longer to stamp each rose but I liked how it gave them some dimension and more color.
For my second card I used the same supplies except I created a horizontal card and instead of used the Vines Cover Plate as it is I cut it apart and used the leafy vines to tuck in around my roses and leaves.
To finish off both of my cards, I used some chunky glitter on all of the roses and added some sparkling clear sequins.

Effortless Beauties Card Set - CTD633

Hello, hello! Happy Wednesday! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge and we have some lovely soft colors for all of us to create with.
I created a set of two cards using this week’s colors and the new Effortless Beauties stamp set and coordinating dies. For both cards I used the same pale blue Lawn Fawn background paper, impression plate and the Feathered Friends Mini 1 stamp set and die. I also used the same ink colors on both card which were bashful blue, kraft, smoky slate and basic gray.
For both cards I used a retired scalloped rectangle and oval die that was part of the shaker kit from Papertrey Ink and I die cut them from white card stock and then used the plaid impression plate for the center. All of my images were adhered with the birds and a few flowers popped up with foam tape and then I glued on some sequins and added some wink of stella clear glitter pen to each rose.
