Garden Friends - CTD620

Hi there, crafty friends! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have the colors violet, mint and cream.
For my card I created a simple scene using the Hello Bluebird stamp set Garden Friends along with the coordinating Garden Friends dies. I stamped and die cut my images then colored them using Copic markers. I used the Outside In Stitched Square dies to die cut first a white card stock square for my images and then a square of some mint colored Lawn Fawn paper. I added some purple gingham paper along the bottom of my card base. I attached my images popping up the bird, butterfly and snail using foam tape and then used more foam tape to attache my mint polka dot paper to my card base.

Spellbinders November Large Die of the Month

Hello there! I’m popping in to share my card using the Spellbinders November Large Die of the MonthThis month's "Merry Stitching" large die set is perfect for making cards, decor, and more. I chose to use the snowflake die set from the kit and created a wintery blue and silver stitched snowflake Christmas card.
I started out by die cutting the snowflake from white card stock and used the embossed lines on the die cut piece as a guide line to stitch two colors of blue embroidery floss and then the silver metallic. I added some foam tape to the back of my stitched snowflake and attached it to a white die cut circle with navy scalloped mat.
For my background, I used a piece of brocade blue card stock and stamped it with snowflakes from the Papertrey Ink Silver White Winters stamp set which I also used for the sentiment which I embossed in silver. As a finishing touch, I added rhinestones in blue and clear to the stitched snowflake to give it some added sparkle.

Hello There - CTD618

Hi there! I’m hostess this week over the Color Throwdown Challenge and I’ve chosen the fall colors of green, brown, orange and red. I hope you’ll join in and play along.
For my card I used some new to me products by Ink to Paper/Papertrey Ink. I started out using the Feathered Friends Mini 1 stamp set and the coordinating  Feathered Friends Mini 1 die. I stamped the bird in pumpkin pie and cherry cobbler ink with chocolate chip for the eye and feet. Next I used the stamp set, Blossoming Branches with the Blossoming Branches dies and stamped the branches in chocolate chip, the leaves in new leaf and the blossoms in pumpkin pie with chocolate chip centers.
Once that was done, I used an Outside In Stitched Square die and die cut it from white card stock and then stamped my sentiment which was from the Feathered Friends Mini 1. I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die with some Papertrey Ink orange zest polka dot paper and a strip of cherry cobbler card stock along the bottom. I added my stitched square and bird with foam tape and glued on a few white frosted mini sequins.
