Good Neighbors

Today I needed to see some bright colors because for the last few days here in Michigan it's been grey and dreary outside.  I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #52 from a few weekends ago to create this card with some new Sale-a-bration goodies.  I used the stamp set Good Neighbors and the coordinating designer paper Welcome Neighbor, the stamp set Whimsical Words and the Scallop Trim Border punch.  The grass was made by using the regular Scallop border punch, punching once and then shifting the paper slightly and punching again.  The little mini butterfly was added by using the new Beautiful Wings Embosslits die and it may be hard to see but the roof on the house was stamped and popped up.
Thanks for stopping by!

A Thousand Valentines

Hello! I thought that I would share a little gift I made for each of the ladies that came to my home for Stamp Camp last week.  At first I wanted to make something that held Valentine chocolates but then I thought of this poem that I had and decided to make something that they could give to the birds.  At our house we love to feed the birds. During the winter months when everything is dreary and there's no leaves on the trees its nice to look outside and see the birds.
I used the Big Shot and Top Note die scored in the center with Real Red card stock for the topper.  The circle and scallop circle I used my Nestabilities and the bird from the stamp set Fun & Fast Notes was partially inked up omitting the flower and colored with inks and an aqua brush.  Then I used the Heart to Heart punch and some Sending Love designer paper and punched and pop dotted the hearts where the flower would be.  On the back of each bird seed baggy I taped the poem after stamping off in Pretty in Pink using a heart from the I{Heart} Hearts set.

Sweetheart

Today I have another project from my Stamp Camp that I had this last Wednesday, this card uses the new Sweetheart stamp set and Heart Treat Cups (see all the details on this special in my sidebar). At the downline meeting I attended a week ago one of our make and takes was a card using the Sweetheart stamp set and how to create a trap door to remove the candy from the card without ripping the card apart.  To do this you cut two pieces of card stock the same size (pictured here 2 3/4" x 2 3/4") and one piece for the front to stamp your image on (2 1/2" x 2 1/2") and layer them together punching each layer individually using the Full Heart punch.  Then you use the 3/4" circle punch and insert it as far as it will go from the top center of your card and punch.  I used the Round Tab punch, folded and taped to a 2 3/8" x 1 7/8" piece of card stock for my trapped door and had it slide in from the side once the main image had Tacky Tape applied to three sides to form a pocket.

Supplies: Sweetheart, Heart Treat Cups, Full Heart Punch, Heart to Heart punch, 3/4" circle punch, Sending Love DSP, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Scallop Trim Border punch, Round Tab punch, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Ribbon.  Colors: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive.
Edit: Cathy had asked:
Any tips on how to line up the punch with the stamped heart to get it perfect?
Thanks!  A: The way I was shown was to use the Full Heart punch and punch a heart out of a sticky Post-it note and use that to line up your punching on each layer.

Enjoy your Saturday!

With All My Heart

Happy Thursday everyone!  Today I have two of the projects we created at my Stamp Camp last night using the new stamp set With All My Heart.  I was inspired by the card Amy had created here when I put my card together and then decided to create a matching box which we filled with chocolate.  It was great to see all the women at camp last night, I always enjoy getting together with them and having fun.

The box was created using a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of card stock, then I scored an inch around each outer edge and at 3 3/4" and 4 3/4" on the 8 1/2" side.  I used the Pinking Hearts Border punch around the three box top sides, cut and taped the tabs and assembled the box.

Supplies: With All My Heart, Sending Love DSP, Extra Large Fancy Flower punch, Pinking Hearts border punch, Sending Love Epoxy brads, Pretty in Pink Satin ribbon, Circle punches, Piercer, Pop dots, Tacky Tape.  Colors: Real Red, Pretty in Pink.

The Last of the Vintage Vogue Set

These are the last two cards out of the set I had created while staying with my mom and like I had said in my previous post it was fun to do a few sketches and create with using just one stamp set and a certain color palette.  Today I'm busy getting ready for my Stamp Camp which is tomorrow night so I'll have some fun projects I can share with you afterwards.

The card above measures 3 3/4" x 7" which fits into a letter sized envelope.
Supplies: Vintage Vogue, Very Vintage, Ribbon, Oval Coluzzle, Rhinestone brad, Pearl, Piercer, Scallop border punch, Eyelet border punch, Pop dots.  Colors: Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie.

It's Wednesday already can you believe it?  The week is flying by, today I've been working on getting a card ready for a Stampin' Up downline meeting I have this Saturday, there will be 14 women for the card swap all of us will be doing.  The downline meetings are always fun and full of information and inspiration and its great coming home with new cards to share with the women that come to my Stamp Camp.  This card uses the same stamp set and colors as the last card I posted but has a different layout.

Supplies: Vintage Vogue, Eyelet border punch, Rhinestone Brad, Ribbon, Piercer, Pop dots.  Colors: Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie.

Friends

Good afternoon or at least it's afternoon here.  Over the next few days I'll be posting the projects I worked on while I was staying with my mom to help take care of her after her knee replacement surgery almost a week and a half ago.  This was the second knee that my mom had replaced and she's doing so much better than last years surgery which makes me happy.  I picked her up from the hospital last Thursday and stayed until Sunday evening and while I was helping to take care of her and do some things around her house I had the chance to do some stamping at night.
As I wrote in an earlier post one of my favorite sets from the Occasions Mini Catalog is Vintage Vogue so before I left for my mom's I packed up three packs of paper, ink, ribbon, a few punches, Vintage Vogue, Very Vintage and Tiny Tags.  It was actually nice to stamp with just the limited supplies that I brought with me because I felt more focused on stamping and using what I had, does that sound silly?  I started out by doing some sketches and then started stamping.

Supplies: Vintage Vogue, Very Vintage wheel, Tiny Tags, Ribbon, Scallop Edge punch, Meduim Jewelry punch, Tag Corner punch, Rhinestone brad, Piercer, Pop dots.  Colors: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo.

SSSC51 - Kindness Birds

It's Sunday and it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!!!  I love Karen's sketch that she has for today and the fact that you can substitute the hearts from the sketch for another shape.  So for my card today I used the new Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch from the Occasions Mini and punched them out using the Razzleberry Lemonade designer paper and pop dotted them.

Supplies: Heard from the Heart, Tiny Tags, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Medium jewelry tag punch, Brad, Extra large two step Bird punch, Heart punch, Scallop edge punch, Ticket corner punch, Ribbon, Pop dots.  Colors: Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron.

I hope you'll join the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers and create a card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, then go to Karen’s blog The Sweetest Thing and link your card using Mr. Linky so we can all see your creation!

I {Heart} Hearts with Peek-a-Boo Treat Holder

Wow it feels like it's been forever since I've posted a project on my blog, I have so much fun new stuff to play with and haven't had the time to play (insert sad face here).  I thought that after the holiday things would slow down a little but that hasn't happened yet.  Today I have a Valentine card and treat holder that I created using the stamp set I{Heart} Hearts and coordinating jumbo wheel I{Love}Love.  I found the directions to make the Peek-a-boo treat holder on Splitcoast Stampers here and thought it was fun and easy to make.

Supplies: I{Heart}Hearts, I{Love}Love wheel, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Pinking Hearts Border punch, Ribbon, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Lg Square punch, Scallop circle punch, Circle punch, Glue dot, Velcro.  Colors: Melon Mambo, Regal Rose.

Hope your having a good day!
