So Glad We're Friends - PTI February Blog Hop

Hi there!  Today is the Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop.  The inspiration piece for this month's hop is the picture below with it's pretty pinks and shades of green.

Inspiration
For my card, I used some fun new PTI products that just came in the mail yesterday evening.  I used the new Spring Woods set along with the coordinating dies and the Color Pop Kit with it's cool new stencils and stamps.
I started out my card with a white card base, then cut a smaller panel of white card stock and stenciled the flowers and leaves from the Color Pop Kit sponging on Lovely Lady and Simply Chartreuse ink.  Once that was done, I used the flowers from the kit and stamped over my stenciling for added detail (love this kit!).  After adhering my stenciled panel to my card front, I added a piece of vellum over top to soften my stenciled flowers (a little tip is to cut your vellum 1/4" longer and score it at 5 1/2" and adhere it along the top back portion of your card base).  Next I die cut a circle and scallop mat and stamped my sentiment in black ink onto the circle.  I added some blended Lovely Lady ink into the center of the circle and adhered it to the scalloped mat.  After that, I die cut and stamped my branch and bird from the Spring Woods set and adhered them with foam tape and once that was assembled I added to the front of my card.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!

Lovely card - spring IS just around the corner. At least that's how your card makes me feel. And also regretful that I didn't order this kit!

WOW, Lynn, your card is just stunning. Looks like you got your new supplies just in time. Received the Color Pops Kit also but haven't had time to play with it yet. Didn't order Spring Woods but it's on my wish list. Your combo of these, colors and vellum set the perfect backdrop for the bird and branch. Gorgeous!
