Hello there! It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge. We’ve got some pretty colors to create with this week and we hope you’ll play along.
For my card, I used the Hello Bluebird stamp set Skating Together along with the Skating Together dies to create a wintery thinking of you card. I started off with a panel of white card stock and blended on some faded jeans distress oxide ink along the top of it. Next I used the Skating Pond Scene die and die cut a piece of white card stock and blended on some tumbled glass distress ink on the pond section of the die cut pieces. After that I die cut two piece of white card stock using the Winter Woods Overlay die and glued them together. Once that was done, I stamped my images and colored them using Copic markers then die cut them out. Other than the two girls skating and the bird, I used images from Frosty Friends and Frosty Littles for the pine trees and house. To give my card more of a wintery look, I die cut some snowflakes using the Frosty Flakes dies and added some iridescent glitter along the edges of my scene.
