Happy Birthday - {The Challenge #25}

Hi there!  The Challenge #25 is new today and has a fun sketch and great color pallet for all of us to create with!  We hope you'll join the design team and play along.
For my card, I used only the sketch to create a birthday card.  I started out with a hawaiian shores card base, then I used some watercolor paper and some distress ink to do a little watercoloring.  After that I added my die cut PTI scribbles and layered butterfly with rhinestones, banners and a few sequins and the card was complete.

Happy Birthday - {The Challenge #24}

Hi there!  The Challenge #24 is new today and has a fun sketch and great color pallet for all of us to create with!  We hope you'll join the design team and play along.
For my card, I used both the sketch and the colors to create a birthday card.  I didn't have the cantaloupe color so instead I used pumpkin.  I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Simple Sunflower and Inside Out: Birthday for my sentiment.

Thanks - {The Challenge #22}

Hi there!  The Challenge #22 is new today and has a fun sketch and great color pallet for all of us to create with!  We hope you'll join the design team and play along.
Using The Challenge #22 colors, I created two square thank you cards with the fun Lawn Fawn stamp set Love You a Latte.  Both cards have brown card bases and I used the same dot embossing folder for texture but for the top card I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Argyle Backdrops on the card base and on the bottom card I randomly stamped the little coffee bean on the background.

Happy Birthday with Sprinkles on top! - {The Challenge #21}

 Hello friends!  The Challenge #21 is up and has a fun new sketch and color pallet for all of us to create with.  We hope you'll join the design team and play along.
For my card I used only the sketch (that's just one of the things that I like about this challenge, you can use just the sketch or just the colors or both).  I needed a few birthday cards so I pulled out my Papertrey Ink stamp sets Shakers & SprinklesCupcake Collection and Birthday Style.
I started out with a white card base, then stamped the top and bottom portion of a piece of raspberry fizz card stock with the banners from the Birthday Style set.  Next I added a piece of real red card stock and my hawaiian shores banner and on top of that my die cut ovals with the mat cut from aqua mist.  The die cut word Sprinkles was cut from a piece of silver metallic paper and tucked under that is my die cut cupcake with hearts and sprinkles glued on.

      Holiday Blessings - {The Challenge #18}

       Hello crafty friends!  The Challenge #18 is up and has a fun new sketch and color pallet for all of us to create with.  We hope you'll join the design team and play along.
       For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Made of Snow Mini and Holiday Wishes to create a Christmas card.  I started out with an espresso card base with a white panel, then added some red and white striped My Minds Eye designer paper.  Down the center I added a piece of red cardstock with a Basic Bookmark 2 die cut out of kraft, a white oval with my fun snowman, a little bit of red bakers twine and a glittery snowflake with button to finish it off.

      Halloweenies - {The Challenge #17}

       Hi there crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing the card I created for The Challenge #17.  Lesley's got a fun color combo and sketch to create with and we hope you'll give one or both a try.
      For my card, I used the sketch and most of the colors from The Challenge along with the fun Paper Smooches stamp set Halloweenies.  I started out with a black card base, then added an embossed lovely lilac panel with a strip of Doodlebug designer paper down the middle.  I stamped and colored the witch with Copic markers and paper pieced her dress and hat, then fussy cut the image out and popped her up with foam tape.  To add some fun I used Glossy Accents and added some to the witches eyes, a little bit of liquid glue and glitter to her lips and a few black rhinestones around the image.

      With Sympathy - {The Challenge #16}

      Hello everyone!  I've got some exciting news to share today.  I was asked by the talented Lesley Croghan to join The Challenge design team and happily excepted.  I'm looking forward to working with Lesley and the rest of The Challenge team.  I really like the concept of The Challenge, because you can design a card using just the sketch or challenge colors or both.
       For my card, I used both the sketch and colors from The Challenge #16 to create a sympathy card.  I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Rosie Posie along with Think Big Favorites #3 for my sentiment.  I started out with a black card base, added a panel of white and an embossed panel of Going Gray.  To add a little softness around my sentiment circle I used the PTI Rustic Wreath die with velum.
