Hello, crafty friends! Today I'm excited and honored to be the Tag You're It! Featured Artist for this week! If you've never played along with the Tag You're It! Challenge, I highly recommend you give it a try. It's a fun opportunity to create a gift tag, bookmark or any project that includes a tag.
For my project, I created a winter/Valentine's themed bookmark which I'm going to wrap up with some goodies for the ladies in my bookclub. I used the My Favorite Things stamp set, Hug in a Mug along with the coordinating Hot Cocoa Cups Die-namics. I started out by using the Papertrey Ink bookmark die which I cut from white cardstock. Next I cut a piece of pure poppy cardstock and stamped it with the little heart stamp that comes in the Hug in a Mug set and adhered it to the top portion of my bookmark along with a piece of striped pure poppy designer paper with a white scalloped edge. I used the My Favorite Things Let itSnowflake Die-namicsto cut out a large snowflake and attached that along with my die cut mug. Tucked underneath the edge of my mug, I added a die cut banner using the StitchedSentiment Strips Die-namics which I stamped with part of my sentiment. The sentiment actually is one stamp which I masked off so that I could stamp the top half in black ink and the bottom half in red ink. As a finishing touch, I added red ribbon with a glittery snowflake button and red bakers twine.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you'll take the time to pop over to the Tag You're It! Challenge and play along.
