Thanksgiving Mix

Today I'd like to share with you a little gift I made for my friend, it's a wrapped harvest candle and some Thanksgiving Mix. I've made more of these for family just like I've done for the past few years, everyone seems to love this Thanksgiving Mix and its something easy to make. The tag on the mix reads:

Thanksgiving Day Mix
The Bugles are a symbol of the Cornucopia, a horn of plenty.
The Pretzels represent arms folded in thanks and prayer.
The Candy Corn reminds us that during the first winter, the pilgrims were allowed only five kernels of corn per day because food was scarce.
The Fruit (or candy orange slices in this case) is a reminder that Thanksgiving is a celebration of the harvest.
The Peanuts represent seeds, the potential of the bounteous harvest for the next season if they are planted and well-tended.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Supplies: Falling Leaves, Circle punches, Ribbon, Brads, Corner tag punch, Linen thread, Tacky tape. Colors: Soft Suede, Really Rust, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla.

PS I also threw in some chocolate carmel Hersey kiss in the mix because everyone loves a little chocolate.

Hope your having a good day!

Lynn, this is just as cute as it can be! You have a very lucky friend!

I made this treat mix a long time ago. I see it is popping up all over again and need to get the ingredients to make again.

I was so tickled to get these gorgeous gifts... it was so thoughtful of you, Lynn. Oh, and can I just tell you that the Thanksgiving mix lasted about 2 seconds in my house! Sadly, it is already long gone! But the family definitely enjoyed it. Hope son #1 is feeling better!

Love this idea Lynn and plan to use it for the gals coming to my Stamp-a-Stack on Saturday. Went to W-mart today and they had NO candy corn or autumn colored hershey's kisses ...it was all Christmas candy! Love the mixture you put together with the orange slices...makes it very festive! Thanks for another FABULOUS idea! :)
