Wildflower Bouquet - CTD681

Happy Wednesday! I’m sharing my card for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have the beautiful colors of celery green, sage green, pink and plum and we hope you’ll play along.
After seeing the inspiration photo and colors for this week’s challenge, I knew I wanted to create a floral card that would be soft and pretty looking. I used the Hello Bluebird stamp set Wildflower Bouquet along with the coordinating dies and started stamping.
The first thing I did was to pull my ink colors which were pretty in pink, regal rose, pale plum, perfect plum, certainly celery and mellow moss (all SU). After that I die cut a bunch of the flowers and stems (it’s always great to have a bunch of these pre-die cut), next I knew I wanted my largest flowers to be pink so I started with stamping those and then moved onto my green leaves and stems.
I used my white card base to arrange my flowers and I always think of arranging a real flower arrangement when I do this and I try to work in threes, three pink flowers, three pale plum flowers, three celery leaves etc. Once I have my arrangement, I use a piece of press n seal over the top and set it aside so I can create my background.

For my background, I used a handmade stencil I created that I keep on hand and blended in some spun sugar and worn lipstick distress oxide ink. Next I used a anti static bag along the top where I’m going to stamp my sentiment and place it into my Misti tool. I used the Hello Bluebird stamp set, Cheery Greetings and stamped it in black ink. Once that was done I adhered my flowers and stems, popping up the three pink flowers with foam tape and then glued on some iridescent sequins and added some pink glitter to the centers of the three pink flowers.
