Fall Fun Week! - Day 1 Lawn Fawn

Hi there!  I don't know about where you live but here in Michigan it's definitely feeling like fall.  The weather is cool and crisp, the leaves are starting to change and the cider mill is open with hot donuts and fresh cider.  Ah, my favorite time of year!

I've been busy in my craft studio crafting up some Fall Fun and I'll be sharing fall themed cards all this week.  For my first two cards which I'm sharing today I used the current Lawnscaping Challenge as my inspiration and some cute Lawn Fawn stamps.
For my first card, I used the Lawn Fawn stamp sets Happy Harvest and So Thankful along with the Grassy Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts and some Perfectly Plaid Lawn Fawn paper.  I started out by stamping my images for both cards below and coloring them with Copic markers, then die each of them.  For my card bases, I used a scalloped circle die overlapping the edge of the die over the fold of chocolate chip cardstock before cutting.  Then I die cut a circle using a piece of the Perfectly Plaid LF paper and a strip of gingham Doodlebug Design paper down the center.  Next I die cut a smaller circle from white cardstock and a mat in pumpkin pie cardstock.  I used some tumbled glass distress ink and using a die cut cloud as a mask I sponged on some ink for my background sky.  The funnest part is when you put your scene together, adding the die cut grass, the stamped banner with sentiment, pumpkins and popping up the sunflower and black bird using foam tape.  Then I added foam tape to the center circle with my scene and adhered it to my card base.
I added a little detail inside each card along with the envelopes (can't have naked envelopes).
For my second card, I used the Lawn Fawn stamp sets Thanks a Bushel, with the coordinating Thanks a Bushel Lawn Cuts and the Happy Harvest set again.
This card was created very similarly to my first card except I added a piece of red gingham Doodlebug Designs paper along the bottom with a small white scallop edge and I stamped some of the cornstalks in my background as well as sponging on some tumbled glass ink.
These little apples crack me up!  The faces!  Ahh!  For the one apple on the front of the card with glasses, I used a glaze gel pen and added a shine to the lenses and popped both of front apples up with foam tape.  Lots of fun details.
The above picture is the inside of my apple card.  I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Chit Chat to stamp the Miss You (I'm sending this card to my daughter who is away at college).
That's it for me today, stop back tomorrow to see more Fall Fun themed cards!

Both of these cards are awesome! I love the fall colors and choice of a round card.
