Before I get to my card, I'd like to welcome our Color Throwdown Guest Designer for this month, Erin Lee Schreiner.
I'm in total Fall mode right now so when I saw the colors for this week's CTD Challenge I knew I wanted to bust out the new Papertrey Ink Paper Clippings: Thankful for You die and stamps. So I started out by using a piece of watercolor paper and some spiced marmalade and ripe persimmon distress inks and watercolored my background. Next I used the Thankful for You Paper Clippings die and die cut two of them. The first Thankful for You I stamped using enchanted evening ink for the lettering, then used canyon clay & terra-cotta tile for the leaves and berries. And finally I used some kraft & close to cocoa ink for the wheat. On my second die cut piece I stamped an extra wheat and an extra leaf and berry piece and added them to my original die cut & stamped piece, gluing the whole thing down onto my watercolored panel. I adhered a strip of enchanted evening cardstock along the left side of my card front and then adhered my watercolor paper piece. As a final touch I glued on some orange iridescent sequins.
I love your color challenge card for this week!! So warm and so rich!! I love how the wheat pieces create a circle. This is a gorgeous fall beauty!! :>)
