It definitely feels like a Monday today and with the hour change I'm sleepy, I'm a girl who really needs her 7-8 hours worth of sleep so springing forward always messes me up. Today the Try a New Technique Challenge at SCS was to create one of these little Treat Purses/Tote. Mine is pretty simple and straight forward I used the Trendy Trees stamp set with my Stamp-a-ma-jig (lining these trees & trunks up works best with a Stamp-a-ma-jig), then used my square punches, the small one to punch out the stamped tree and then the large square punch for the white scored piece which is pop dotted (see close up shot). Other than that I liked this project but there is one thing I didn't understand (could be lack of sleep) how do you keep the front flap of this tote/purse closed up? If you've made one of these and I missed something please let me know. Thanks

Lynn, this is so cute. Love those trees!
Wow Lynn, this is super cute!!
That is just adorable Lynn! Love, love, love it :-) I agree about using the SAMJ with this stamp set!
Fab job Lynn!! Love the tree!!
Lynn, this is so cute--uses one of my favs from this catty. But I made one last night and had the exact same question---how do you keep it closed? I even criss-crossed the handles (saw that on someone's) and it still flops open. I wanted to show it at a workshop tonight but will have to do some "adjustments" before hand.
If you come up with something, let us know!

How cute is this little tote! Love the simplicity of it. Can't wait to give it a try. TFS
Ooohhh, I love this. Most of the purses were cute but this is chic!!
Ooooh! This tote is stunning... such fun colors, and the stamp set is perfect for this. I like your scoring too... YOU ROCK! :)
Fabulous! This set is so awesome and your tote is wonderful!
This came out so terrific. We must be on the same wavelength today. I just finished 5 cards using this same stamp set.
I had the same question - ended up just gluing it closed instead of decorating the inside like you did. I was presenting it for a class, too, and didn't think they'd like that it flopped open. I thought about tying it closed with a ribbon bow, but ended up just attaching the front.
I like your tote, though!
WOW very cool!! Love it!!
Where have I been? This is a WOW for sure!! Fabulous, Love it!
