Budding Beauties - CTD688

Hello, crafty friends! It’s my turn to host this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge and I’ve chosen some soft colors for us to create with after finding this pretty wedding photo online.
For my card, I used the stamp set, Budding Beauties from The Greetery along with the coordinating dies. I also used the Sprinkled With Kindness stamp set and dies for the watering can. I stamped the hydrangeas in bashful blue, marina mist, lavender lace and highland heather and the roses in pink pirouette and pretty in pink with all of the greenery in mellow moss and old olive. I also used the Market Basket Sentiment set for my sentiment tag and attached it with twine. I used some oval dies to adhere my watering can and flowers, popping up the can, roses and the right blue hydrangea with foam tape. For my background I used a piece of lavender plaid paper from my stash.

Toucan Do It - CTD687

Hello there! It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge!
For my card I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Toucan Do It along with the coordinating dies to create a birthday card. I stamped, die cut and then colored my images using copic markers. For my background I blended on some tumbled glass distress ink and then used the Tropical Leaves Background stencil with the colors peacock feathers, twisted citron and mowed lawn distress oxide inks. On top of my stenciled background, I added a piece of green parakeet card stock which I die cut using the Grassy Hillside Borders dies and blended on some mowed lawn distress ink. After that I added my happy birthday sentiment which I die cut using the Happy Birthday Line Border and once that was glued on I added my images popping up the two cougars and the toucans.

Container Garden - CTD685

Hello there! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have the spring colors of orange, green and kraft to create with.
For my card I used The Greetery’s Container Garden stamp set and dies along with the Jumbo Jar die to create a birthday card. I stamped all of the flowers in different shades of orange from pumpkin pie ink to only orange ink along with calypso coral with the centers of the daisies stamped in chocolate chip and ground espresso distress oxide ink. For the inside background of the jar, I blended on some antique linen and brushed corduroy distress oxide ink. For my background, I used a piece of green Doodlebug gingham paper and die cut it using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle dies. Inside the jar, I popped up the two main daisies and one bee and I also added some glitter to most of the flowers and the centers of the daisies.

You Goat This - CTD684

Hi there, crafty friends! It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have some great new colors to create with.
For my card, I used the new Lawn Fawn stamp set, You Goat This along with the coordinating You Goat This die set. To create my barnyard scene I also used the Hey There stamp set and dies and for my clouds I used the All the Clouds stamp set and dies. All of my images were stamped, die cut and then colored using copic markers.
For my background I die cut a piece of white card stock using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle dies and then blended on some fossilized amber along the bottom and using the Cloudy Stencil I blended on some speckled egg oxide ink along the top. To give the ground in my goat area some texture, I sprinkled on some water droplets which I absorbed with paper towel and then watered down some brushed corduroy oxide ink and sprinkled the area using a paint brush to give more texture with a darker tone. I used my Misti tool to stamp my sentiments and then added my images popping up the three goats.
