Hello Friend - {SSSC259}

Hello friends!  Have you heard the news?  The Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge has a new home! We hope you'll pop over to take a look at our new site and play along with this week's challenge.

This week's challenge is to create a card using a past Sweet Sunday Sketch.  Once you've created your card, be sure to link it up to our new site.
For my card, I used last week's sketch #258 which I loved (something about the large middle circle gives so many possibilities).  I also used another new Papertrey Ink stamp set, Bitty Bouquets.  The font for the sentiments in this set along with the different flowers makes it a must have, so pretty.  I started out with a white card base, then an embossed panel of raspberry fizz, a strip of white cardstock and white banners and a square of bright yellow gingham designer paper.  I stamped my sentiment and added my die cut roses with a little bit of yellow stickles in their centers and tied on some yellow bakers twine to finish it off.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Hi there!  Our host this month over at the Crazy-4-Challenges site is Anja and her theme for this week is "Put a Bow on it".
Welcome to our guest designer for this month, Andrea Murdock.
For my card I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #387 for my layout and the Mama Elephant stamp set Pandamonium to create a simple thinking of you card.

Hugs - {Virginia's View #13}

Hello there!  Today I've got a card that I created for the Virginia's View Challenge #13 which is All Things Embossed.
I started out with a white card base and then used a piece of watercolor paper and the Papertrey Ink stamp set Beautiful Butterflies to heat emboss with white embossing powder.  Once the butterflies were embossed I used the Beautiful Butterflies Layers and stamped and embossed on top of the white with iridescent embossing powder (this looks so much better in real life).  After all the embossing was done I watercolored my panel then added my layered die cut Hugs, banner and sequins.

Spring - {SSSC258}

Happy first day of March!  I'm ready for spring, how about you?  Today I'm sharing a card that I created using this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, some new Papertrey Ink goodies and a spring inspired theme.
For my card I used the new PTI Make-it-Market Mini: Lovely Laurels set.  I couldn't wait to get my hands on this set, its a beautiful combination of stamps, dies and papers with a small envelope of the sweetest little flowers and leaves you can use as accents.  The die is unique in that it doesn't die cut the laurel completely out, just enough to add a few small pieces of foam tape underneath to add dimension. To me this set called to my traditional romantic victorian heart and I knew I needed to have it.  I found inspiration for my colors in the photo below with the yellows and the cool greens.  I used ocean tides (PTI) and daffodil delight (SU).
 Be sure to check out what each of the Sweet Sunday Stampers has created using this week's sketch:

Have a wonderful day!
