A Thousand Valentines

Hello! I thought that I would share a little gift I made for each of the ladies that came to my home for Stamp Camp last week.  At first I wanted to make something that held Valentine chocolates but then I thought of this poem that I had and decided to make something that they could give to the birds.  At our house we love to feed the birds. During the winter months when everything is dreary and there's no leaves on the trees its nice to look outside and see the birds.
I used the Big Shot and Top Note die scored in the center with Real Red card stock for the topper.  The circle and scallop circle I used my Nestabilities and the bird from the stamp set Fun & Fast Notes was partially inked up omitting the flower and colored with inks and an aqua brush.  Then I used the Heart to Heart punch and some Sending Love designer paper and punched and pop dotted the hearts where the flower would be.  On the back of each bird seed baggy I taped the poem after stamping off in Pretty in Pink using a heart from the I{Heart} Hearts set.

What a fabulous idea!!! Would you mind if I shared this idea with my mom for her class at school? She's all about birds so this would be a great project for her class to do.

Oh how I wish I had visited your blog yesterday when I was trying to find a 100 Valentine poem for 100 days of school! :(

Well the project is finished so I will have to tuck that great little poem away 'till next year.

This is such a great idea! I hope you won't mind me using it. My folks love so much to watch the birds at the feeder. A big bag of seed and this poem will be the perfect Valentine for them. Thank you so very much!
