Gabrielle's Quilt

This is a shot of my daughter Gabrielle holding the quilt she made from her sewing class a Jo Ann's craft store. She loves sewing and fabrics and for the past three years or more has said that she wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up. Her quilt turned out beautiful, she was so proud of her self, she picked out all of the fabric, and arranged all of the squares and did all of the sewing. The one thing I know she wont be doing anytime soon is using a rotary cutter to cut fabric. The second day of her quilting class she cut her thumb and had to have stitches and a shot, not fun. Shes a real trooper though she was more worried about having enough time to finish her quilt than getting stitches. That's my girl!

Your daughters quilt is absolutely STUNNING and BEAUTIFUL. She did a great job. She definitely has an eye for color choice in fabric and design. Having cut myself more than once with a rotary cutter, I understand the pain she must have been in. Hope to see more of her quilts on your blog.
