Valentine Faerie

Today's card is a Valentine card that I created using one of the Faerie stamps from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design called Paloma. The Faerie stamps that Susana sells are all so pretty and what I like about them is that you could use them for so many different occasions like birthday, thinking of you, warm wishes or even Happy Valentine's Day!
This Faerie image was colored with Copics and then I used Red and Clear Spica glitter pens on most of the image.

My little guy woke up this morning with the flu and a high fever and has been miserable all day today. I've been giving medicine, cold wash cloths, Popsicles, Vernor's, tea and just holding him most of the day but as a mother when your kids get really sick you feel so helpless.
I'll be back with details for this card later.

Be Mine Valentine

I'm still working on Valentine cards, this one I think I'm going to enter into the home page contest on the Bellaholics group, I've never entered a card for the contest before but I do know that if your card is chosen its displayed on the front page of the Yahoo group for the month, so we'll see. This was such a fun card to create using rosy Bittybloom! I stamped one of the rosy images out and then used my new SU heart punch and punched out her hands and bouquet and then colored and pop dotted it over my full colored image. I used my Copics to color this image and then added Red Spica glitter pen on the roses and then added tiny silver gems to the centers. The image and scallop mat was then cut and embossed using my Nesties and pop dotted and added to the center of a heart that I cut out using my Coluzzle. The card base was embossed using the Cuttlebug embossing folder Heart Blocks and the Be Mine, ribbon and flower with gem were added to complete the card. Its hard to see from this picture but the cut out heart is actually a few shades darker than the red scallop mat around the image.

Can you believe that JoAnns and Michaels has all of their Easter stuff out already? I'm just getting into Valentines.

*MWAH*

This last weekend was a busy one so I haven't had much time to play but I've been trying to start some of my Valentines for this year and this is one that I came up with. This Mwah Bella hasn't seen ink in a long time so I thought I'd get her out and use her to make this Valentine. After stamping this Bella I colored her with my Copics and used one of the hearts I punched out from the new Love You Much Stampin' Up Bundle that's on special right now. I stamped the Mwah on the heart and pop dotted it and then added some Ruby Slippers Designer Stickles to the heart on her purse and embossed part of the Real Red back ground with my Swiss Dots embossing folder.
