SFYTT - Hot Cocoa

Today is Jen's Sketch for You to Try and the card above is one of the samples I created as her guest designer for this month. Even though this Like It a Latte SU stamp set is retired I still love using it. The steaming cup of hot cocoa with marshmellows makes me thing of when I was a kid and how I would get so bundled up to go outside in the snow and mom would make me put bread bags over my socks to keep my feet from getting wet. I'd play in the snow until my hands were numb and after playing outside in the snow for so long I'd come inside and my mom would make me a big mug full of hot cocoa. I try and do the same thing for my kids when they've been out playing in the snow except they don't use bead bags to keep their feet dry, lol.

We got several inches of snow yesterday, so much that people couldn't get out of the court we live in and the schools were closed. The snow looks beautiful covering everything but its not so fun if you have some where to go.

To see Jen's lovely card and the other card that I made for the sketch as well as the directions on how to play along, hop on over to Jen's blog. For more wonderful samples using this fun sketch visit Jen's Stampin Friends: Amy R., Amy S., Carole, Shannan and Susan!

Such a cute card. I love that stamp set and will never part with it! Though I can't relate with the snow days. It's been nearly 80 degrees here the past few days. Send us some snow down south!! My kids would love it! :)

What a fun sketch and a great use of that SU set. We must be on a psychic wave length. I just finished a pink and brown card myself.

My mom also used to use bread bags for our feet in the winter. What a fun memory.

Beautiful card! I love your cards-they are so stylish! How do you get your bows on them so straight? I never use ribbon on my cards because I just can't get it to look right!

I am a big fan of pink and brown (have you seen the new Basic Grey coming out??) and that Bella is AWESOME! The recipient of that card is going to be one very lucky person! Ü
