Hello! I'm super excited today because today marks the first Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge! Yahoo! Our first C9 Challenge is all about Celebrationsand what better time to celebrate than the start of a fun new challenge!
I was in need of a birthday card for a crafty friend of mine and wanted something fun and colorful, so I pulled out the Concord & 9th Birdie Banner set along with the Banner AlphaBitsset and made my card.
For my card I used a piece of white cardstock and started with stamping the lines from the Birdie Banner set. These are flexible line images which can be stamped straight or curved in different configurations. On the ends of each banner line I stamped the little bow image from the set. After that I stamped the outline of each banner and then the solid image in, hawaiian shores, limeade ice, hibiscus burst and canyon clay. Once that was done I used the Banner Alpha Bits set and stamped my Happy Birthday sentiment. I used two of the birds from the set and stamped them first in black ink for the outline and then in raspberry fizz and daffodil delight with the one bird wearing a party hat in limeade ice with a hawaiian shores pom pom which I added glitter to. This whole panel was then adhered to my white card base with foam tape.
This Birdie Banner set is so versatile and can be used in so many different ways. Angie from Concord & 9th has a fantastic video on how this set can be used which you can see here but below is a picture of what I stamped while playing with this adorable set. It's just a very small sampling of what you can do. The possibilities are endless!
