Let’s Toast, Valentine - CTD678

Hello and happy Wednesday! I’m hostess this week over at the Color Throwdown Challenge and I’ve chosen the colors pink, red, cranberry and kraft to create with which I thought would be perfect for creating Valentines.
For my card I used some Lawn Fawn products to create a mini slimline Valentine card with a breakfast theme. I started out by stamping and die cutting my images from the Let’s Toast set, plus dies, where I used the toaster, toast, knife and sentiment. Next I stamped images from the Milk and Cookies set which were the milk container and glass of juice. I also used the So Smooth set for the strawberries and yogurt and the Love You a Latte set for the coffee cup and finally the new Cerealsly Awesome mini set for the cereal bowl.
After stamping and die cutting all of my images, I colored them using copic markers. For the two toast images, I stamped the peanut butter using brushed corduroy distress oxide ink and for the jelly I used candied apple distress oxide ink then stamped the faces and cheeks. For my background I used a red striped piece of Doodlebug paper and for my scene I used white card stock with a strip of kraft card stock along the bottom. I popped up the two pieces of toast and the cereal bowl with foam tape and added iridescent glitter to the small pink hearts.
For more inspiration, check out the design teams blog links below or you can go to the Color Throwdown blog for details on how to play along and see all of the sample entries in one location.
