Celebrate It’s Your Day - CTD558

Hello, crafty friends! I’m hostess over on the Color Throwdown blog for this week’s challenge and I’ve chosen some bright cheerful colors for all of us to create with. I can’t wait to see what everyone creates!
For my card I used the adorable Hello Bluebird stamp set Beach Babes along with the Beach Babes dies. I started out with a white card base, then used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle dies for my white center rectangle and I die cut a piece of Doodlebug Designs paper for my background. I stamped my images and colored them using Copic markers then die cut them out. The balloon, bird, party hat and grass are all from the coordinating pig set, Pig Day and Pig Day dies. Behind my cute pig image I blended on some fossilized amber distress oxide ink and stamped three pink hearts. For my my sentiment, I used the Cheery Greetings stamp set and stamped the celebrate onto a Stitched Sentiment Strips banner and the other half of my sentiment just below in black ink. I popped up the pig and the center white rectangle with foam tape and added some glitter to the top of his party hat and a few dots in the background.

Sending You Sunny Smiles - CTD557

Hello there! It’s the third week of August and our weather is still sun and warm. It’s hard to believe that the kids here in Michigan are heading back to school right after Labor Day. Today I’m sharing my card for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge.
For my card, I used the Hello Bluebird stamp set Hippos on Holiday along with the Hippos on Holiday dies. These hippos totally crack me up! I stamped and colored all of my images using Copic markers then die cut them out. For the white frame I used the Gallery Frame die #3 and for the sandy beach I used the Stitched Hillside Border dies and some kraft card stock which I blended on some vintage photo distress oxide ink. For the waves in the background I used the Stitched Wave Borders dies and some aqua mist card stock. To create my sunny background, I made my own stencil using the Sun Ray dies and blended on some fossilized amber and wild honey distress oxide inks. For my sentiment, I stamped it onto a banner that I die cut using the Stitched Sentiment Strips dies.

Elegant Flower Frame - CTD556

Hello! I hope your week is going well. Today is Wednesday and the start of a new Color Throwdown Challenge where we have the pretty colors of green, yellow, blue and kraft to create with.
Last Friday and Saturday was a fun two day getaway, I drove down to Ohio with a friend of mine where we attended the Stampawayusa convention. While I were there, I saw a collection of beautiful stamps designed by Catherine Scanlon and sold by Art Gone Wild and couldn’t resist making a purchasing. I love the illustrated look of Catherine Scanlon’s designs and coloring this image was so fun. My mind is filled with ideas on how to create cards using her stamps. The stamp I used for my card today is, Elegant Flower Frame. I used my Tim Holtz Stamping Platform to stamp this image onto white card stock and then I colored it using Copic markers. The sentiment is from the Words of Wisdom 2 set which I stamped into the open frame. Once I was done coloring, I did some fussy cutting and trimmed off the card stock along the outer edges and attached my piece to a kraft colored card base using foam tape. I thought it need something small with a bit of dimension so I stamped a bee from the Flora & Fauna stamp set Bee Kind and after coloring and cutting him out I added him near the frame with some foam tape. Other than that I used my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen on the bee’s wings, the blue flowers and the centers of the large yellow flowers.

I stamped all of my images and colored them using Copic markers then die cut them out. Hello Bluebird Card Collection

Hello! Thank you for stopping by and happy Friday! Today I’m sharing the third and final card in my mini card collection using Hello Bluebird stamps & dies.
As I’ve said in previous post using Hello Bluebird, so many of their sets work great together when creating scenes. For my third card, I used the frog and large mushroom from the Garden Friends stamp set and the Garden Friends dies and mixed in the medium sized mushroom, butterfly and sentiment from the Field Mice stamp set and Field Mice dies. I also used the small set of mushrooms and ladybug from the Fairy Garden set and dies. For my background I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies and some Papertrey Ink red polka dot paper and I used the Small Stitched Circle Stackables dies to die cut my black circle. I die cut a banner for my sentiment using the Everyday Sentiment Banners and I popped up my black circle, butterfly, caterpillar, ladybug and small mushrooms with foam tape.
Have a great weekend!

Just Sitting Here Thinking About You

Hello, hello! Happy first day of August! Today I’m sharing the second card in a mini card series that I created using the adorable Hello Bluebird stamp set, Field Mice. If you’d like to see yesterday’s card, you can click here or scroll down.
For today’s card I used the Hello Bluebird stamp set Field Mice along with the Field Mice dies to create a thinking of you card. I also used the little caterpillar image from the Strawberry Jam stamp set and Strawberry Jam dies well as the large mushroom from the Garden Friends stamp set and dies and the small set of mushrooms from the Fairy Garden stamp set and dies. I love how all of these sets work so great together! For my background, I die cut a piece of Doodlebug Design Dot/Stripe paper using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies then used the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame Die #3 and backed it up with black card stock. I used the colors from this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge #554 which are black, red, green and kraft. All of my images were stamped and colored using Copic markers. I used the Stitched Sentiment Strips dies and die cut a banner and stamped my sentiment. I used foam tape to adhere both of the mice, the small set of mushrooms and the whole Gallery Frame piece.
Thanks for your visit! Be sure to stop back tomorrow for my next card in this series.
