Warm Wishes - CTD513

Hello there! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge. Before I get to my challenge card, I’d like to welcome this month’s talented guest designer, Birgit Edblom.
For my card, I used the new Lawn Fawn stamp set Thanks a Latte along with the coordinating Thanks a Latte dies. I started out with a white card base, then added a piece of green plaid paper from the new LF Knit Picky fall paper pack which I die cut using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables die. Next I added a horizontal strip of some enchanted evening retired designer paper and die cut some white cardstock using the Stitched Mini Scallop Square Stax. Once that was done I stamped my images and colored them with Copic markers then die cut them out (I stamped the spoon from the Love You a Latte set). Before I adhered my images to the scalloped square, I added a light shadow using a T1 gray Copic marker. I popped up the mug and scalloped square using foam tape. Then I used an Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strip die and stamped my sentiment. To give my card more of a winter look, I used the Mini Snowflakes dies and some of the new Sparkle Cardstock Pixie Dust.
For more inspiration, check out the design teams' blog links below OR you can go to the Color Throwdown blog for details on how to play along and you can see all the sample entries in one location.
