SSSC134/CTD158 - I Miss You a Boatload!

Good morning!  It's time for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #134!  Karen has another fun sketch for all of us to create with this week and we hope you'll play along.
For my card I used the cute There She Goes stamp set Float My Boat and the colors from the Color Throwdown Challenge #158.

Supplies: Float My Boat - TSG, MME DP, Nestie dies, Scallop border die - TE, Ribbon, Buttons, Copics, Stitching, Foam tape.  Colors: Basic Grey, Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie.

In the picture below you can see that I stamped the little boy's head a second time so that I could pop it up and add some dimension to this fun image.
To play along create a card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, then go to Karen’s blog The Sweetest Thing and link your card so we can all see your creation!

Be sure to visit each of the Sweet Sunday Stampers below for more samples using this week’s sketch!

Today my thoughts and prayers like every American are with those who were lost ten years ago on September 11 and it makes me even more grateful to the men and women who are in the armed forces and civil services who work to protect our nation.
May God watch over all of us.

  2. Wow, that is a tough color combo but you rocked it, of course! Love the image and sentiment and how you colored it... too cute!

And as for Sept. 11th, it's been tough watching the stories on tv... I can't stop crying for what all those people went through and for our country as a whole. I just can't fathom that kind of hate for anyone. God bless our military!

  4. Lynn, this is so flippin' adorable! GREAT colouring!!! Sweet!

I'm not American but I will never forget that horrifying day 10 years ago. I think of it often and pray for those involved. I'm watching the Memorial right now...got up early to see it (I'm 2 hours behind).
