Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

TGIF everyone!  The cards I have to share today are for this months Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.  PTI has designated this Blog Hop to scallops and has asked all that participate to create their projects using PTI stamps and scallops of any kind.  Well I miss read the information for the hop and thought I needed to have my card posted on my blog and linked by 10am this morning so I whipped up the above card in 15 minutes without even thinking about it which has to be a new record for me because it usually takes me forever to make a card.  Then I went back to the PTI web site and read that I had until llpm tonight so I thought I would whip up another card which was simple and yet it took me forever, lol.  Isn't that the way it goes?
I was excited to be able to use some of my new goodies that I ordered from this months PTI release and wanted to use some fun bright colors to create a cheerful card and this is what I came up with using the stamp set Button Boutique.
Supplies: Button Boutique, Bitty Background Blocks, Button Card Die, Doily Details Dies, Birthday Basics, Buttons, Twine, Ribbon, Stitching, Medium Scallop Border-TE.  Colors: Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie.

This second card uses the PTI stamp set Tag-its #1 as well as the Doily Details Die to create a St. Patrick's Day card.  I added a green felt flower and a die cut button using the Buttoned Up #1 die and a paper coaster, then stamped the top of the button with a pattern from the Bitty Background Blocks.
Thank you for visiting!

  6. Lynn, both of these cards are fantastic! Truly beautiful! The colors of the first card just pop off the page. Your stitching adds an even greater handmade touch. The second card is the most elegant ST. Patick's Day card I've seen. Love the embossed dots for the base.

  13. Wow. Two gorgeous cards. Love your color combinations! Funny how often I do a card for a challenge and then reread the instructions and realize that I had misread some little detail... and then go back to the drawing board. :)
