Today I have another project from my Stamp Camp that I had this last Wednesday, this card uses the new Sweetheart stamp set and Heart Treat Cups (see all the details on this special in my sidebar). At the downline meeting I attended a week ago one of our make and takes was a card using the Sweetheart stamp set and how to create a trap door to remove the candy from the card without ripping the card apart. To do this you cut two pieces of card stock the same size (pictured here 2 3/4" x 2 3/4") and one piece for the front to stamp your image on (2 1/2" x 2 1/2") and layer them together punching each layer individually using the Full Heart punch. Then you use the 3/4" circle punch and insert it as far as it will go from the top center of your card and punch. I used the Round Tab punch, folded and taped to a 2 3/8" x 1 7/8" piece of card stock for my trapped door and had it slide in from the side once the main image had Tacky Tape applied to three sides to form a pocket.
Supplies: Sweetheart, Heart Treat Cups, Full Heart Punch, Heart to Heart punch, 3/4" circle punch, Sending Love DSP, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Scallop Trim Border punch, Round Tab punch, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Ribbon. Colors: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive.
Edit: Cathy had asked:
Any tips on how to line up the punch with the stamped heart to get it perfect?
Thanks! A: The way I was shown was to use the Full Heart punch and punch a heart out of a sticky Post-it note and use that to line up your punching on each layer.
