Fifth Avenue Floral - Sympathy

The card today is for yesterday's Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge and after looking at the picture of this card I still don't think the With Sympathy is stamped straight darn it. I'm thinking after stamping this main panel three times that the rubber is crooked on the wood block even though it doesn't look like it is. Have you ever had that happen? The large rose was stamped in Basic Grey and the two other flowers in Close to Cocoa and the saying in Basic Black.

Supplies: Fifth Avenue Floral, Urban Oasis DSP, Brighter Tomorrow (retired), Ribbon, Brads, Large oval punch, Circle punch, Pop dots. Colors: Basic Black, Basic Grey, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Carmel, Whisper White.

I'm excited to place my Stampin' Up pre-order for the Holiday Mini Catalog this Saturday!
Wait till you see it, it's 39 pages filled with fun new stuff!

  1. Beautiful card -- I like the color combo. I stamp my stamps on the grid paper after I mount them to see if they are straight.

  4. This is a gorgeous card, and a great use of this stamp & image. The sentiment may be a teeny tiny bit off, I just did the exact same thing on my card---but it really is not that noticable. I used my SAMJ on the first one, then said the heck with it on the second......and I learned my lesson! Truthfully, the image is so strong and the font is so elegant that you really cannot notice it at all. The recipient will NOT be looking at that at all, trust me!

  7. Very elegant! I really like this stamp set. You've shown it to be quite versitale. This is a great sketch, too. Sorry you feel the sympathy is crooked. I doesn't look like it in the photo tho.

  12. This is stunning! I love the colors and the choice of flower image you chose. I think the sentiment looks just fine where it is. But I know what you mean. I struggle with getting sentiments straight too. Even with my stamp positioner and a ruler in hand, I'm sure I have them crooked. Maybe it's not the stamp though. Maybe it's my eyes :-)
