Well summer is officially here as of this last Sunday and it sure feels like it! Today was in the mid to high 80's and tomorrow is going up into the 90's so my kids spent the day hopping from the blow up pool to the sprinklers and had a ball.
The card up top is for two challenges one is the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge and both cards here are for the Splitcoast Stampers Color Challenge for today. The colors for the Color Challenge today were Pacific Point, Only Orange and Summer Sun which I thought were pretty bold bright colors so I used the bold stamp set Pick a Petal and made a few more birthday cards.

Simple Manhattan Flower Thank You's
Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there! For my cards today I was playing around with my textured Impressions Manhattan Flower die and wanted to make some thank you cards. I went with the same layout for each of them and just switched up the colors and ribbon. For the green thank you card up top I left the roses white but for the other two I sponged in some color with coordinating ink. I really wanted the embossed roses to stand out so I kept the cards simple, its great to be able to have a few thank you cards on hand when you need them.
Hope your enjoying your day!
Supplies: Manhattan Flower Impressions Die, Thank You Kindly, Large oval punch, Scallop oval punch, Ribbon, Corner rounder punch, Sponges, Urban Oasis designer paper, Good Morning Sunshine designer paper. Colors: Basic Grey, Pink Pirouette, Always Artichoke, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, Barely Banana, Whisper White.
Hope your enjoying your day!

Birthday Cupcakes
Happy Friday everyone!!! Life has been crazy as usual with my daughter's 12 birthday party last weekend and our family traveling to Cedar Point amusement park this Wednesday and Thursday I haven't had time to get into my craft room and stamp. A few of the new stamps sets that I ordered as a sneak peek for the new Stampin' Up Fall/Winter Catalog have been calling my name and its been driving me crazy that I haven't had time to create until today.
I actually took some time and played with the new stamp set The More the Merrier to make up a few birthday cards and matching pillow boxes. All of these projects use the same cupcake stamps and colors but different layouts. It was fun using new stamps and one of the new In Colors (Melon Mambo) from the up coming SU catty.
Supplies: The More the Merrier (New), Teeny Tiny Wishes-for happy birthday tag (New), Happy Everything, CB embossing, Circle punches, Lg Oval punch, Scallop edge punch, Word Window punch, Sizzix Pillow Box die, Ribbon, Crystal Effects, Aqua brush. Colors: Melon Mambo, Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun, Whisper White.

Clean & Simple
Today's post is another birthday card using last weeks sketch challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers, it uses the same layout as the last card I posted except with different stamps and a green color scheme. I found some cute Stampendous frog stamps over this last weekend when I popped into the Scrapbook Zone and couldn't resist. The sentiment was altered because the stamp actually reads "Hoppin' over to say Hello", but I left out the Hello so that I could stamp happy birthday inside the card.
Supplies: Fergie Leap, Hoppin' Hello - Stampendous, Copics, Nestabilities, Doodlebug designer paper, Ribbon, Brads, Crystal Effects (for the eyes), Pop dots. Colors: Garden Green, Green Galore, Whisper White.
Supplies: Circle Scissors, Circut cartridges - All Mixed Up, Opposites Attract, Cinderella Disney (for scissors). Circle punch, Buttons, Silver metallic paper, Bazzil card stock.

Next is a scrapbook page layout that I did for my son's first haircut, my sister-in-law Ann cut his hair on our back patio so stickers of barber polls and booster seats didn't work for this page. My style of scrapbooking is clean and simple which I hope keeps the focus on the pictures.
Connor was not a happy camper about getting his hair cut as you can see.

I'm Back!!!!!
Hello friends I know its been almost a month since I've posted on my blog and I'm sorry to have left you without an explanation. To be honest not only did my life seem to become overly busy last month but I think I really needed to just take a break from blogging and focus on spending more time with my family. Other than spending time with my family I knew that I only had time to either make cards or scrapbook and knowing that I wanted and needed to complete a baby (first year) scrapbook for our youngest son that's what I've been doing. Scrapbooking was my first love before stamping and I've enjoyed diving back into it to create a book for our son. To me scrapbooking is very meaningful and I know that my two older children love to look at their scrapbooks and remember times from their childhood and so it was important to me that my youngest have the same thing. Thank you to those of you that emailed me to ask if I was well I truly appreciated your concern and it meant a lot to me to know that I was missed.
Onto the cards, these two cards were made with the stamp sets Cheers to You and Tart & Tangy and are 4 1/2" x 4 1/2". I wanted to make a few birthday cards for summer birthdays that are coming up and I wanted them to be fun and colorful.
Supplies: Cheers to You, Tart & Tangy, Cuttlebug embossing folders, Crystal Effects, Ribbon, Circle punches, Brads, Aqua brush, Piercer w/mat, Pop dots.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
