For my little Designer

This card is for my daughter Gabrielle, for the past 3 or 4 years she has stuck with the dream of becoming a fashion designer when she gets older and can go to college. So when Stamping Bella came out with this new Fashionistabella I knew I had to have her! Gabrielle has tons of sketch books filled with drawings of different designs for clothes, she loves going into JoAnn fabrics just to look at the fabrics and gets so excited when she sees something she likes. Shes also has taken several sewing classes and has her own sewing machine, she likes to make clothes for her American Girl dolls and has made purses from old denim jeans. If fashion designing is for her in the years to come, I will do what ever I can to help guide her along, I think its important to have a passion for something and to love what you do.

Supplies: Fashionistabella- Stamping Bella, Define Your Life - Stampin' Up, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Flower, Rhinestone brad, Ribbon, Copics, Piercer w/mat. Colors: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Taken with Teal.

  11. CUTE CARD!! And you are sooo right! If our kids have a passion for something, I think we should definately support them and guide them however we can. That's soo awesome!! Good for her, and best wishes for her success in whatever she chooses. If she's that good at drawing and fashion, etc. then even if she changed careers in the future, at least she'll always be creative--and THAT'S something to cherish.

  12. Very cute card. I can totally relate to your daughter in the fabric store. It's just like me (and many of you all) that gets all excited looking at designer paper, stamps, marker colors, etc!

  13. Awww Lynn, that's so sweet!! Y'know, when I was her age, I had books of sketches too - of fashion! Obviously I chose a different path, but I remember that feeling of creating way back then - that fire in me - how absolutely cool that your DD has that fire!! You are so fabu for encouraging her!! You rock!
