Always in Bloom - CTD708

Happy Wednesday! I’m hostess this week over at the Color Throwdown and I chose the colors pink, coral, purple and green.
For my card I used The Greetery stamp set, Always in Bloom to create a square floral birthday card. I used the Always in Bloom dies and die cut some white card stock then used the following SU inks to stamp my images: pixie pink, pink passion, cameo coral, calypso coral, highland heather and old olive. I used a square stitched die and die cut a piece of lavender pattered paper then stamped my sentiment and layered on a white circle which I die cut using the Love to Layer:Scalloped Circle dies from Papertrey Ink. After that I added my images popping up the center purple flower and the die cut bloom sentiment with foam tape.

Sea Friend

Hello there, crafty friends! Today I’m featuring the adorable new Hello Bluebird Sea Friends stamp set and dies from the August release. This set is darling! The mermaids alone are illustrated so perfectly and the accent characters make it so fun to create a scene.
I initially set out to use only one of the mermaids from the Sea Friends set but then changed my mind when I decided to use the Ocean Floor Slimline Scene die. I wanted a bright colorful ocean scene so I stamped my images, used the Sea Friends dies and die cut them out, then colored them using copic markers in bright colors. For a bit of sparkle, I used some chunky iridescent glitter on the mermaids tails and used some glossy accents on the bubbles and the eyes on the crab.
A fun thing about using the Ocean Floor Slimline Scene die is that you can use all of the pieces after you die cut it out or just some like I did. I used the die and die cut it from white card stock then blended on some antique linen and brushed corduroy distress oxide ink on the sand portion and then flicked on some watered down vintage photo distress ink. For the boulders I blended them with pumice stone and hickory smoke and for my background I used tumbled glass and salty ocean. For the pieces of seaweed and coral I used my copic markers to add color to them.
Once I was done blending my background I stamped my sentiment and a few fish from the Sea Sentiments set then added all of my images popping up the mermaids with foam tape.

Page Turner

Hello there! The card I have for today features the new Hello Bluebird stamp set, Page Turner along with the coordinating dies. As an avid reader and lover of books I absolutely love this stamp set with its adorable images. It was fun building the scene for my card with not only the sweet reading girl in the chair but with the furniture and other fun images.
For my card, I used the new Nesting Deckle dies and die cut the pink gingham paper and the wood patterned paper and added a thin piece of white card stock in between. I stamped the images from the Page Turner set and used the coordinating Page Turner dies to die cut them. Once that was done I used copic markers to color all of my stamped images. Before adhering my images I stamped my sentiment onto the background and then added the images popping up the girl in the chair with foam tape.

Cake Time - Hello Bluebird

Hello there! Today I’m sharing a card that I created using the adorable new Hello Bluebird stamp set, Cake Time from the August release.
I was in need of a first birthday card for a little girl and thought the little bunnies from the Cake Time set would be sweet. To create my card I stamped some of the images from the Cake Time set and then die cut them using the Cake Time dies. Once that was done I used copic markers to color them and a white gel pen to add
highlights.
For my background, I used a piece of pink, stripes n sprinkles paper and die cut a piece of white card stock using the new Nesting Deckle dies. I blended on some spun sugar and worn lipstick distress oxide ink on my die cut piece and then, using the new Oh Happy Day stamp set, I stamped my sentiment. I used the By The Numbers dies and die cut the number one from some yellow striped paper and then three more from white card stock and glued them together then added glitter over the whole number one. Once that was done, I added my images, popping up the three bunnies, and adding more glitter to their party hats and the stars.

Hello Bluebird August Release Day 3

Hello there! The August Hello Bluebird release is available today and it’s fintastic!! Today I’m featuring the fun Sea Life stamp set and dies along with the Sea Sentiments and Word Bubbles dies and the awesome new Ocean Overlay die!
This was a fun card to create! The fish and dolphins for my card where fun to color and the background was easy to put together! I started out by stamping and die cutting my images from the Sea Life stamp set and a few from the new Sea Friends set, and then coloring them using copic markers.
For my background, I used a piece of light blue card stock and blended on some mermaid lagoon distress oxide ink along the edges then used the small silhouette images of fish from the Sea Sentiments set and randomly stamped them on the background using the mermaid lagoon ink. Once that was done I die cut my inked panel using the Ocean Overlay die and also die cut one from white card stock. Next I cut a piece of white card stock that was the same size as my die cut Ocean Overlay piece to use as a base and glued on my white die cut piece and glue each inked die cut piece in place. It was like filling in a puzzle.

After my background was done, I stamped my sentiment from the Sea Sentiments set and used the Word Bubbles dies to die cut it. Then I added all of my images popping up several of them with foam tape and then added some Glossy Accents to the bubbles to give them a raised glossy look.

Hello Bluebird August Release Day Two

Hello, hello! It’s day two of sneak peeks for the Hello Bluebird August release and today I’m featuring the adorable new Oh Happy Day stamp set and dies along with the Birthday Script sentiment set and the Nesting Deckle A2 dies.
The Oh Happy Day stamp set is so adorable and fun to create with, for my card I used just four of the characters from the set and combined them with the Birthday Script. I stamped and die cut my images then colored with copic markers. I thought it would be fun to have two of the characters holding balloons so I used the Pig Day stamp set and dies and used the balloon from that set to add to my scene. For my background, I used the Nesting Deckle dies and die cut white card stock then blended on some tumbled glass and chipped sapphire distress oxide ink. Once that was dry I stamped my sentiment from the Birthday Script set and added my images. I cut a tiny slit in the foxes hands so I could slide in the balloon string and then popped up all of my images with foam tape other than the one balloon.

Exciting News! Hello Bluebird

Hello there, crafty friends! I’m excited to announce that I’m guest designing for Hello Bluebird's new release for the month of August!

I’ve always been a fan of Hello Bluebirds since day one and I’m thrilled to share what I’ve created using all of the adorable products from this month’s release!

To create my card, I stamped some of the images from the Bonfire Buddies set, then die cut them using the
coordinating dies and then colored them using copic markers. Once that was done I used the Campsite Scene die and die cut the different colored pieces of card stock (kraft, green, gray, white & light blue) to create my scene. After that I used some chipped sapphire distress oxide ink on the sky and some vintage photo and ground espresso on the ground piece which I also watered down and added splatters. I also used some going gray and handsome hunter inks to shade the trees and mountains and used a copic marker to add some detail to the birch tree. Once all of that was done, it was fun adding in each piece like fitting together a puzzle. Then I stamped my sentiment from the Skating Together set and then added my images popping up the two main characters with foam tape.
