Penguin Party - CTD672

Hello there! It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have the colors pink, turquoise, lime green and black to create with.

For my card I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Penguin Party along with the coordinating dies to create a mini slimline Christmas card. I also used the Toboggan Together set for the group of presents, the Stitched Hillside Borders dies and the mini slimline dies. I colored all of my images using copic markers and I used some tumbled glass and peacock feathers distress oxide ink for my sky and snowy hills. For a finishing touch, I added some glitter to the snowflakes, Christmas lights and ground.

A Friend Like Gnome Other - CTD670

Hello, hello! I’m two weeks behind in my Color Throwdown Challenge cards, between being super busy and no mojo to create, I’ve fallen behind but today I’m sharing a card I created for challenge #670 where I used some Hello Bluebird products to create a slimline friendship card.

For my card I used the Hello Bluebird stamp set Next Door Gnomes along with the coordinating dies. I also used the Gallery Frame #5 slimline die and for the mushroom images the Garden Party stamp set and dies. I colored all of my images using copic markers and used some tumbled glass and salty ocean distress oxide ink and a cloud stencil for my background.

A Cup of Christmas Cheer - CTD669

Hello there! It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge!

For my card I used the Hello Bluebird stamp set Cocoa Party along with the coordinating dies to create a simple Christmas card. I also used the Outside in Stitched Square dies to die cut the blue gingham Doodlebug paper for my background and the white square for my scene.

Fall Thank You - CTD668

Hi there! I’m hostess this week over at the Color Throwdown Challenge and I’ve chosen some fall colors with a pop of dark blue for all of us to create with. I hope you’ll take the time to play along!

For my card I created a mini slimline fall themed thank you card using the Hello Bluebird stamp set Fall Friends along with the coordinating Fall Friends dies and the new slimline dies. I colored all of my images with copic markers and used some walnut stain distress oxide ink to blend on the kraft card stock for the ground piece and then stamped my sentiment.

Wish I Could Hug You - CTD667

Hello there! It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have some lovely new colors to create with.

For my card I used the Waffle Flower stamp set, Always along with the coordinating Always die set to create a clean and simple card. I kept the emphasis on the images which I colored using copic markers and used spun sugar and a just a bit of abandon coral distress oxide ink and then stamped my sentiment.

Penguin Party Christmas Card - CTD665

Hello there, crafty friends! It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have some lovely pastel colors to create with.

For my card I used the new Lawn Fawn stamp set Penguin Party along with the coordinating Penguin Party dies to create a round scalloped Christmas card. I stamped and die cut all of my images from the set and then colored them using copic markers. For my card base, I used a scalloped Spellbinders die and on top of that I die cut a circle using the Outside In Stitched Circle dies from white card stock and blended on some spun sugar distress oxide ink. I also die cut my snowy hills using the same stitched circle die above and the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders dies. I stamped my sentiment, attached my images and added some chunky iridescent glitter.

Warm Wishes - CTD664

It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have the colors teal, kraft and brown to create with.

For my card I created a mini slimline fall themed card using the Lawn Fawn stamp sets, Thanks a Latte plus dies, Jump for Joy plus dies, Happy Harvest plus dies, the S’more the Merrier set (owl only) plus dies and the sentiment from the Argyle Backdrops set. Tree Neighbors Mini Slimline Card - CTD663

Hello, hello! It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge! We have some beautiful colors to create with this week and I hope you join us and play along.

The card I’m sharing today uses the adorable new Hello Bluebird, Tree Neighbors stamp set and Tree Neighbors dies. The images in this large stamp set couldn’t be any cuter. 

I also used the stamp sets Pumpkin Time and Autumn Gatherings for the pumpkins and used the new Mini Slimline dies. This is the first time I’ve ever made a mini slimline card and I have to say the 3 1/2" x 6” size is fun. I used copic markers to color all of my images and blended on some weathered wood and hickory smoke distress oxide ink for my background then watered down some black soot and added some splatters. I popped up the fox, the sentiment bubble and the two critters in the tree holes using foam tape.

Fall Birthday Card - Inspired By Challenge

Hello there, crafty friends! Today I’m excited to be a guest designer with the talented design team over at the Inspired By Challenge!

For the Inspired By challenge you can choose to use the inspiration photo or the sketch, I chose to use both for my fall time birthday card. To created my card, I used the fun Lawn Fawn stamp set, Thanks a Bushel along with the Thanks a Bushel dies. I also used the Happy Harvest stamp set and dies for the cornstalks and sunflowers and the Pick of the Patch set and dies for the cute squirrels. 

I started by stamping out all of my images, die cutting them and then coloring them with copic markers. Next I used the Stitched Scalloped Circle Frames die and die cut it from the white card stock. I used some tumbled glass distress oxide ink and blended it on the inside circle for my sky and used a piece of ripe avocado card stock for the grass. For my background, I used a piece of brown polka dot paper from my scraps and die cut it using the Outside in Stitched Rectangle dies. I added my colored images, popping up the two squirrels and two apples and added my sentiment which I used the Wavy Sayings set and Simple Wavy Banners dies.
