Tea Time Fun - CTD649

Hello, hello! Happy Wednesday! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge were we have some great new colors to create with.
Last Friday I had a fun stamping day with my friend Donna who happens to be the person who introduced me to the Colorado Craft Company stamps illustrated by Anita Jeram. I had so much fun creating the card I’m sharing today where I used the Tea Time Fun stamp set and Tea Time Fun dies. These little mice are so adorable and fun to color!
To create my card, I started out by stamping all of the images from the Tea Time Fun set and die cutting them out then colored them using copic markers. Next I used the Small Slimline with Lift the Flaps die and die cut a piece of white card stock.
After that I arranged my images then used my Misti tool to stamp my sentiment. I used some cool gray copic markers for the shadows underneath my images then adhered each image popping up two mice and the sugar bowl. I added some iridescent glitter for the sugar and used a glaze pen on the cups of tea to make them appear wet. I attached my white stitched panel to a piece of hawaiian shores and gorgeous grape card stock.

Fairy Dance - CTD648

Hello there! I’m hostess this week over at the Color Throwdown Challenge blog and I chose the vibrant colors orange, pink, green and purple for all of us to create with.
For my card I created a slimline birthday card using the Hello Bluebird stamp set Fairy Dance along with the Fairy Dance dies. I started out by stamping all of my images, die cutting them and then coloring them using copic. I also used images from the Garden Party stamp set and dies like the smaller mushrooms, bug and caterpillar.
Once I had all of my images ready to go I worked on the background. I used the Hello Bluebird scalloped slimline die and die cut it from white card stock I backed that up with a piece of white card stock that I bended with tumbled glass distress oxide ink and a cloud stencil and a piece of green card stock die cut using the Grassy Hillside Borders die which I bended on some lucky clover distress oxide ink.
Once my background was done I added my images popping up the three fairies with foam tape and then added iridescent glitter to the fairy wings and green glitter to the bug wings.

Strawberry Jam - CTD647

Hello, crafty friends! I haven’t been blogging much lately because I’ve been super busy with social events but I hope to get back to it soon. Today I’m sharing the card I created for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where I instantly thought to create something with strawberries.
For my card I used the sweet Hello Bluebird stamp set Strawberry Jam and the coordinating Strawberry Jam dies. I started out by stamping and die cutting all of the images I knew I wanted to work with and then coloring them using copic markers. Next I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle dies to cut first a piece of pink gingham paper and then a piece of white card stock. On the bottom of the white card stock piece I masked off the bottom half and blended on some twisted citron and mowed lawn distress oxide ink and stamped a few grass images as well as the sentiment.

Next I added my images, popping up the two mice and the bread with foam tape and then added more foam tape to the back of my white rectangle piece and adhered everything in place.

Always in Bloom - CTD645

Hello, crafty friends! I’m here with this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge card where we have the bold colors of aqua, pink and black to create with.
For my card I used the fun new stamp set, Always In Bloom along with the Always In Bloom dies from The Greetery. I started out by die cutting all of my shapes and then used aqua mist, hawaiian shores and tropical teal along with hibiscus burst and raspberry fizz to stamp all of my images. I added a piece of raspberry fizz card stock to a white card base, then added a die cut stitched black panel and then added my images popping up the bloom and three of the flower stems above my white embossed sentiment.
