Have a Pawsome Birthday! - CTD644

Hello there and welcome! It’s time for another Color Throwdown Challenge where we have some fantastic new colors and an awesome art piece by artist Terry Runyan who I admire as our inspiration.
For my card, I tried to draw inspiration directly from the inspiration photo but used dogs instead of cats. I used the stamp set, Critters at the Dog Park as well as the Critters at the Dog Park dies from Lawn Fawn.
For my background, I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle dies with some gray card stock and then using the Critters at the Dog Park set I stamped all of the dog images. I also used the Say What? Pets stamp set and dies for the small dog, speech bubble, sentiment and paw print. I colored all of my images using copic markers and used foam tape to pop up four of the dog images and the dog bowl.

Hey Lady Ladybug Card and Gift Tag - CTD642

Hey there, crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a fun birthday card and gift tag set that I created for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have some sweet colors for all of us to create with.
The Lawn Fawn stamp sets I used to create my card and tag are Hey Lady with the Hey Lady dies along with the How You Bean? for the jar with the How You Bean dies. I used some red striped Doodlebug Designs paper which I die cut using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle dies and I also used those dies to die cut my white card stock rectangle that I blended with kitsch flamingo distress oxide ink. The sentiment and the leaves, stick, thought bubble and larger ladybug are from the A Bug Deal stamp set with the A Bug Deal dies.
I used the Grassy Hillside Borders die with some new leaf card stock for under my jar and stamped the happy birthday sentiment onto a die cut Everyday Sentiment Banners. The tag for my bag of chocolate ladybugs was die cut using the Stitched Circle Tags and red card stock with a smaller stitched circle die cut using the Outside In Stitched Circle dies. On the tag I popped up the leaf and ladybug with foam tape and on the card I popped up the jar and the three ladybugs inside.

Where it Leads

Hello, crafty friends! I’m sharing another card that I created for the Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper April release featuring the stamp set, Where It Leads.
The Where It Leads stamp set is such a great set for scene building, for my card I used the set to create a beach scene by adding the seagulls from the Seas of Life stamp set and adding some watercolor.

To create my card I used a panel of water color paper and watercolored the top portion aqua blue color and the bottom in a sandy beige. I die cut all of my images using the Where It Leads dies and I stamped out the steps image in chocolate and kraft ink, the grasses in ripe avocado, the rocks and seagulls in gray and the shrubs in new leaf inks. I stamped my sentiment from the from the Just Sentiments: Steps set onto a die cut circle and added foam tape to the bottom of the steps, three of the rocks and the sentiment circle.

Seas of Life Birthday Card - CTD641

Good morning! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have some great new colors to create with.
For my card I used the new Seas of Life stamp set and dies from the April release for Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper. This set is awesome for masculine cards and perfect for creating a birthday card for my brother who loves the nautical look.
To create my card I first used the Seas of Life dies and die cut the pieces I knew I wanted to use. Next I stamped the sailboat in chocolate, hawaiian shores and pure poppy ink, the sun in harvest gold and the seagulls and anchor in smoky shadow ink.

I die cut a square of white card stock and stamped the wave images from the set in hawaiian shores, added my sailboat with foam tape and adhered the seagulls and sun. I attached my square to a piece of kraft card stock that I stamped using the Weaved Background stamp. On top of my white card base, I added some strips of chocolate and pure poppy card stock and I stamped my sentiment onto a die cut banner and added my anchor.

Scenic Path Mother’s Day Card

Hello! I’m popping in today to share another card that I created as a guest designer for Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper. Today I’m sharing a Mother’s Day card that features the new Scenic Path cover plate die.
To create my card, I started out by using the Scenic Path cover plate die and die cutting it from spring moss card stock. Next I used the shrub stamp from the new Where it Leads stamp set and stamped the die cut shrubs from the cover plate and blended on some spring moss ink. On my white card base, I blended on some
hibiscus burst and spring moss ink.

After that, I used the new Mother & Father sentiment stamp set and heat embossed my Mother’s Day sentiment onto vellum with white embossing powder and then backed it up with a piece of aqua mist card stock. Once that was done, I used one of my favorite sets, Blossoming Branches along with the dies and stamped them in hibiscus burst and simply chartreuse ink. To finish off my card I added some iridescent sequins.

Feathered Friends Birthday - CTD640

Hello there! I’m late to the party for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge but I’m finally getting my card posted. We’ve got some lovely colors for this weeks challenge and there’s still time to play along.
For my card I used the Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper stamp set Effortless Beauties along with the Effortless Beauties dies. I also used the sweet Feathered Friends 2 Dies for the bird I added to my card.
For my roses, I stamped them in pretty in pink ink then stamped off before stamping on my die cut piece then stamped the second layer in calypso coral ink stamped off and then I went back to roll just the edges of the first solid flower stamp in pretty in pink. I stamped the leaves in simply chartreuse and ripe avocado inks. Next I used the Love to Layer:Scalloped Circle dies and die cut the largest circle from white card stock. For my sentiment I use the happy birthday from the Feathered Friends Mini 3 stamp set. For my background papers, I use a coral gingham paper from Doodlebug Designs, a pale pink from Echo Park and the striped green from Papertrey Ink.
