Hello, Lovely - CTD617

Hello there! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge and we have some great new colors to create with.
For my card I used some products from The Greetery. I started out using the Budding Beauties stamp set and Budding Beauties dies and stamped them in real red ink and limeade ice and new leaf inks for the stems.

Next I used the Sprinkled With Kindness stamps and dies for my watering can and stamped it in pumice stone and hickory smoke distress inks and finally I used Robin & Wren stamp set and dies and stamped them in kraft, chocolate chip and pumpkin pie. I die cut a scalloped white square for the top portion on my card base and added a piece of kraft colored gingham paper along the bottom and then attached my images using foam tape.

Always - CTD616

Hello there! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have some cozy colors to create with.
For my card I used the Waffle Flower stamp set Always along with the coordinating Always dies. I absolutely love these images designed by Flora Waycott, they are so fun to color and create with. I kept my card fairly clean and simple with the focus on the images. I stamped and die cut all of my images and then colored them using Copic markers.
Next I used the Single Stitched Line Rectangle Frames dies and die cut a piece of white card stock. Once that was done I blended on some antique linen distress oxide ink and using my Misti tool stamped my sentiment. I adhered my blended rectangle piece to a white card base and added my images, popping up the girl with bird.

Halloween Gift Tags - CTD615

Hello, crafty friends! It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge. As soon as I saw the colors for this week’s challenge I thought of making fun tags for Halloween goody bags.
To create my Halloween gift tags, I used the adorable Hello Bluebird stamp set Frightful Little Bits which I stamped, die cut and colored using Copic markers. I used the Stitched Circle Tags and die cut them from black card stock then used a circle dies and die cut white circles for the images and orange circles for a mat.
I used some kraft card stock which I die cut using a circle die and again using the Stitched Hillside Borders dies and I also blended on some walnut stain distress ink along the bottom of each piece.
I added my images, popping up the main images with foam tape, and adhered all of them in little groupings on each tag then added some black and white bakers twine to finish them off.

Best Wishes - Always Welcome

Hello there! Spellbinders October 2020 Large Die of the Month, Always Welcome die set which features 18 cutting dies is a fantastic set and so fun to personalize. For my card I used the best wishes to make a birthday card but the die set comes with dies to create different holiday scenes as well.
To create my card I started out by die cutting the main door piece and door panels using some so saffron card stock. After that I used some white card stock and die cut the surrounding columns, the window in the door and small envelope. I also used some gray card stock for the porch. I embossed all of my die cut pieces by using my die cutting machine and embossing mat so that the wonderful detail of the dies stands out.
Next I used some black card stock to die cut the wishes welcome mat, the word Best and the pieces for the columns. After that I die cut the detail pieces like the mail slot, window and doorknob from silver card stock and the wreath from new leaf and simply chartreuse card stock.

Before assembling, I adhered the gray porch onto a white card base and then I trimmed down the yellow door leaving a quarter inch all around it and adhered that tucked behind the porch step. Next I used foam tape and added the columns, and the white piece above the door and the welcome mat. Once that was done I added the remaining pieces including the wreath which I added with more foam tape.

Sending Hugs - CTD614

Hello, hello! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have the colors purple, green and kraft to create with.
For my card I used two Lawn Fawn stamp sets to create a thinking of you card using the adorable bears from the new Den Sweet Den stamp set with the coordinating Den Sweet Den dies. And for the sentiment, I used the Long Distance Hugs stamp set which I though would go nicely with the hugging bears.
I used a white square card base and on top of that I added a die cut panel of Doodlebug Design gingham purple paper which I die cut using the Outside In Stitched Square dies. Next I die cut a white card stock circle and a piece of embossed brown card stock using the Outside In Stitched Circle dies. Once that was done I used my Misti tool to stamp my sentiment and die cut a spring moss green card stock mat. I stamped my images and colored them using Copic markers then die cut them out. I added the wooden floor and adhered my images popping up the large bear hugging the small bear with foam tape.
