Frilly Frames - Eyelet Lace Easter Card

 Hi there! I’m up over on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a fun Easter card I created featuring the new Frilly Frames - Eyelet Lace.

To create my card, I not only used the Frilly Frames - Eyelet Lace die with it’s dainty scalloped edges but I also used the sweet Chickie Baby stamp set and Chickie Baby dies to create an Easter scene.

 To create my card I started out with a white card base then used just the outer portion of the Frilly Frames - Eyelet Lace die and die cut a piece of lavender lace card stock. Next I die cut a stitched rectangle and blended on some tumbled glass distress oxide ink along the top half of it. After that I used a piece of the grass paper from the Spring Fling paper and die cut it using the grass die from the  Sunny Sentiments dies. Once that was done, I stamped my happy  Easter sentiment and some of the adorable images from the Chickie Baby stamp set. I colored my images with Copic markers and die cut them out. To complete my scene, I used a few images from the Spring Showers stamp set and Spring Showers dies including the clouds, tulip flowers and butterfly.

A Magical Day - CTD586

Hello there! It’s time for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge where the colors are pink, purple and white.

For my card I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Fairy Friends along with the Fairy Friends dies to create a birthday card. I already had a bunch of the fairies and flowers Copic colored and die cut already so when I saw that I had some colored in purple and pink I used them for this card. I kept this card simple with just a strip of purple gingham Doodlebug Design paper along the bottom, the sentiment stamped onto a white banner and the images adhered through the middle. I did blend on some tumbled glass distress oxide ink along the top of my card base for a sky.

Blooming Frame

Hi there! I’m up over on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a floral Easter card I created featuring the pretty new Blooming Frame die.

The detail in the Blooming Frame die is beautiful and can be used in so many different ways to create a new look each time. For my card I wanted to create an Easter card and I wanted to use the Happy Easter sentiment from the Chickie Baby stamp set which I thought would look nice stamped in a die cut circle so even though the Blooming Frames die, once it’s die cut, leaves a rectangle of card stock in the center I decided to camouflage that with the flowers from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set.

 To create my card, I started out with a white card base than added a panel of pale blue card stock. Next I used the Blooming Frame die and die cut it from a piece of white card stock and adhered it to my card front. After that I stamped my Happy Easter sentiment onto a white die cut circle and added that in the center of my card. Once that was done, I used the Cheerful Daisies dies to die cut several of the daisies from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set and stamped them in daffodil delight, summer sun, pumpkin pie, hibiscus burst, raspberry fizz ink and limeade ice and new leaf ink for the leaves. I added all of my stamped flowers and leaves around my circle sentiment popping up the largest yellow daisy with foam tape. To add a little sparkle, I glued on a few of the Iridescent Pastel Confetti.

Oh Gnome! - CTD585

Hello, hello! I’m here with my card for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge #585.

 For my card I used the adorable Lawn Fawn Oh Gnome stamp set and Oh Gnome dies to create a birthday card. I kept my card fairly simple and used this week’s colors to color the little gnomes using Copic markers. On the top portion of my card I blended on some tumbled glass distress oxide ink and used the cloud images from the Sunny Studio Stamps Spring Showers set and dies. 

 Next I die cut some simply chartreuse card stock using the Simple Stitched Hillside dies and blended on some pine needles distress oxide ink around the edges. I stamped my sentiment along the bottom of my card and die cut a piece of tropical teal card stock using the Happy Birthday Line Border die. I adhered my images to my card front, popping up the girl gnome and the standing gnome and wheelbarrow with foam tape.

Happy Spring

 Hello! Happy Monday! Today I’m up over on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog where I’m sharing a card that I created featuring the Cheerful Daisies stamp set and dies.

 To create my Cheerful Daisies card, I started out by die cutting a bunch of the daisies and leaves from white card stock using the Cheerful Daisies dies. After that I used hibiscus burst and raspberry fizz inks to stamp the daisies and daffodil delight and summer sun ink for the center of the daisies. The leaves were stamped in limeade ice and new leaf inks. The amount of detail in these stamps is fantastic and with each layer of stamping the daisies and leaves look realistic.

 Once I had my daisies and leaves stamped, I worked on my background. I used Frilly Frames Lattice die with some white card stock for the first layer of my background. Then I die cut a rectangle of white card stock and blended on some spiced marmalade and picked raspberry distress oxide ink. Once that was done I added some splatters of water and blotted them up with paper towel. Next I heat embossing my Happy Spring sentiment with white embossing powder and adhered my ink blended rectangle to the Frilly Frames Lattice piece and then onto my card front. After that I adhered all of my daisies, popping up one of the larger daisies with foam tape. For a finishing touch, I stamped three little bees from the Sunny Sentiments stamp set and dies and colored them using Copic markers and added some yellow glitter to the centers of the daisies.

A Bug Deal - CTD584

Hello and happy Wednesday! There’s a new Color Throwdown Challenge that starts today and it’s perfect for this time of year with spring and St. Patricks Day. I created a window card using this weeks colors and the fun new Lawn Fawn stamp set, A Bug Deal. To see a video on how I created my card, you can click Here.

 With the shades of green and black for this weeks CTD colors, I thought it would be fun to create a window card where the green bugs would pop against a black background and by creating the window my card would have depth with some images inside the actual card like a shadow box. 

 I used the A Bug Deal stamp set and the A Bug Deal dies along with a piece of Doodlebug Design green gingham paper which I die cut using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle dies. For my sentiments, I used the Everyday Sentiment Banners dies and for the ground inside my card I used the Stitched Hillside Borders dies and some kraft card stock.

Chickie Baby

Hello there! Today I’m up over on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog sharing an Easter card I created featuring the adorable new stamp set Chickie Baby.

To create my card, I started out by stamping a bunch of the adorable chick images, flowers and eggs from the Chickie Baby stamp set and then coloring them using Copic markers and die cutting them out using the Chickie Baby dies. Next I die cut a circle of lavender cardstock and heat embossed the Happy Easter sentiment that comes with the set in white embossing powder. For my background I used a piece of tulip paper from the Spring Fling paper cardstock papers and for along the bottom of my card I used the Sunny Sentiments dies and some green cardstock for the grass. After that I added my lavender circle with my sentiment and adhered my chicks popping up three of the chicks and the bottom portion of the cracked egg using foam tape.

Hap-pea Birthday - A Bug Deal

 Hello there crafty friends! Today I have a fun garden themed birthday card that I created using the new Lawn Fawn stamp set A Bug Deal along with a video on how I created my card. I thought it would be fun to use the cute little bugs from the A Bug Deal and place them in a garden where they could party with the peas :P Below is an intro video, if you’d like to see the entire video you can click HERE

I not only used the sweet A Bug Deal stamp set and A Bug Deal dies to create my card, I used the Be Hap-pea stamp set and Be Hap-pea dies to help set the scene of a garden. I also included one of the small ladybugs from the new Hey Lady stamp set and dies.

For my background, I used a piece of yellow gingham Doodlebug design paper with the Outside In-Stitched Rectangle dies along with some kraft card stock and the Stitched Hillside Border dies which I blended on some walnut stain distress oxide ink.

Easter Wishes - Spellbinders

 Hello! Today I’m popping in to share a card that I created using the new Large Die of the Month, Basket Full of Bunnies for March from Spellbinders. These adorable bunny dies with the basket and florals are so sweet and fun to create with. 

To create my Basket Full of Bunnies Easter card I started out by die cutting the bunnies from white card stock, the basket from a scrap of kraft card stock and the stems from ocean tides and spring moss. The flowers were die cut from pretty in pink, daffodil and lavender lace card stock. Once all of my pieces were die cut, I used some spun sugar distress oxide ink on the bunnies for their cheeks, ears and for some shading and some worn lipstick, wilted violet and pine needles distress oxide ink for shading on the flowers and stems. I also used some walnut stain distress oxide ink along the outer edges of the basket.

 For my background, I used a piece of Gotta Have Gingham paper in a lavender color. I used my oval Nestablilities dies to die cut a white oval and stamped my sentiment and used the scalloped oval and lavender lace card stock for the mat. I adhered everything to my card front, popping up the basket with the bunny inside using foam tape, and then glued on all of my die cut pieces.
