Sweet Christmas Wishes - CTD573

Hi there! A new Color Throwdown Challenge starts today and it’s our last one for this year. We hope you’ll take the time to play along with us using the colors lime green, hot pink and white.
Well my hot pink looks more purply than hot pink but it’s what I had. I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set, Thanks a Latte along with the Thanks a Latte dies to create a “sweet” Christmas card with cocoa, cookies and a candy cane. I started out with a white card base then added two strips of pink gingham Doodlebug paper along the top and bottom. I not only used the Thanks a Latte set but also the Milk and Cookies stamp set and dies as well and I stamped my images out and colored them using Copic markers then die cut them. Once all of my images were colored and die cut I adhered them to my card front popping up the cocoa cup, a cookie and the plate with a cookie on it with foam tape. For my sentiment, I used the Simple Wavy Banners dies and some white card stock and then stamped the word sweet and wishes from the Milk and Cookies set and the Christmas from the Wavy Sayings set to create my own custom sentiment.

Joy to You and Yours - CTD572

Hello, hello! Can you believe that it’s the first week of December? It’s a busy time of year and before we know it it will be 2020. I’m here today to share my card for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge #572 where we have some great new colors to create with. Before I get started I’d like to welcome our guest designer for this month, Amy Tsuruta.
For my card, I used this week’s CTD colors and the adorable Hello Bluebird stamp set, Frosty Littles along with the coordinating Frosty Littles dies. To create my card, I started by stamping my images, first the sweet little snowmen from the Frosty Littles set and then the trees from the Frosty Friends set and dies, and then I colored them using Copic markers and die cut them out. I used the Outside In Stitched Square Stackables dies to die cut a piece of green Doodlebug paper and attached it to my card base. After that I used the Stitched Scalloped Circle Frames and die cut it using white card stock. Once that was done I cut a piece for the snow using the Stitched Hillside Borders and then blended on some tumbled glass distress oxide ink on both the circle and the snowy hill. I used the Merry Wishes stamp set to stamp the Joy along the top of my circle which I stamped in tropical teal and stamped a second time just slightly below and then stamped the to you and yours along the bottom. Finally I adhered my images to the circle, popping up the two snowmen and stamped some snowflake in the background and added some glitter to the snow and snowmen hats then added more foam tape to adhere the circle inside the scalloped frame.
