Silver White Winters - (CTD471)

It's Wednesday and time for this week's new Color Throwdown Challenge!
This card was a bear to make, lol!  I think because I have a bunch of things on my mind that my head was not into creating and I re-made this card about 5 times and still done care for it.  But its done using this week's CTD colors and the sketch challenge from the Freshly Made Sketches #315.  I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Silver White Winters along with the coordinating snowflake dies.  I heat embossed my sentiment using silver embossing powder and stamped the swirls and smaller snowflakes in gray ink onto soft stone colored cardstock.  I die cut a large and smaller sized snowflake from silver metallic paper and one smaller snowflake in gold glitter paper.  I popped up the soft stone panel and oval die cut sentiment pieces with foam tape and added silver and gold sequins to finish it off.

Happy Thanksgiving - (CTD470)

Hello!  It's time for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge.
For my card, I used the colors from this week's Color Throwdown Challenge and was also inspired by the current Paper Smooches November Challenge which is all about Fall.
To create my card I used the Paper Smooches stamp set My Peeps along with the coordinating My Peeps die cuts to create a Thanksgiving card.  The birds in this set crack me up, they are so adorable.  The bird I used to make the turkey can also be made into a peacock.  I cut a square card base, added a panel of chocolate chip cardstock with a strip of Doodlebug Designs Happy Harvest paper.  Next I die cut a stitched white square and a summer sun cardstock banner. I used the Lawn Fawn stamp sets, Happy Happy Happy plus the Add On set to stamp and die cut my sentiment.  I stamped the images for my turkey and colored them with Copic markers then die cut the birds body and fussy cut the rest and adhered them together.  I added a square of summer sun cardstock to my white stitched piece and added my turkey with foam tape.

Season's Greetings - (CTD469)

Hello there!  I'm finally chiming in with my card for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge.  I've been super busy lately and my creative mojo has been missing.  I'm hoping it returns soon.
For my card, I used the new to me Papertrey Ink stamp set, Silver White Winters along with the coordinating snowflake dies.  The base of my card was covered with spring rain cardstock with a strip of enchanted evening patterned paper along the bottom.  I watercolored two different colored blues onto a piece of watercolor paper and trimmed it down, die cutting a stitched line across the top and corner rounding along the bottom.  I stamped my sentiment in enchanted evening, some of the swirls from the stamp set in bashful blue and five of the snowflakes in brocade blue.  I adhered this piece to my card front and added two die cut snowflakes, some silver sequins and some dots of iridescent ice Stickles.  My watercolored panel is busier than I wanted but I guess I went with the blizzard look instead of a gentle snowfall ;)

So Thankful for Your Kindness - (CTD468)

Hello!  I'm hosting this week's Color Throwdown Challenge #468 and I've chosen some fall harvest colors for all of us to create with.  I hope you'll join in and play along!
For my card, I used the adorable Lawn Fawn stamp set, Jump for Joy along with the Jump for Joy dies to create a window card.  To do this, I cut a piece of white cardstock 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" (for my base) and adhered a piece of Doodlebug Designs fall paper, then I cut a piece of pumpkin pie cardstock to 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" along with a white piece of cardstock which will be the inside of my card.  Before attaching the pumpkin pie and white cardstock pieces, I cut the flap of the card from kraft cardstock to 6"x 3 3/8" and die cut a rectangle window toward the top using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables die.  Then I stamped my sentiment along the bottom of the kraft cardstock flap and scored at 1/2" on the opposite end and adhered that to the back of my pumpkin pie cardstock piece and then adhered the both pieces to the card base.  Once my card was constructed, I stamped my images and colored them with Copic markers then die cut them out and adhered the pile of leaves at the bottom of the die cut window and popped up the owl and fox with foam tape.  I also die cut a tree using the Leafy Tree Backdrop: Landscape die from some brown Knock on Wood Lawn Fawn paper and glued that into the window opening from behind then attached the cute hedgehog with foam tape.

Christmas Cloche - (CTD467)

Welcome!  I'm kicking it off the first of November with a Christmas card for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!  Our colors for this week are so versatile that they could be used to create almost any kind of card so we hope you'll join in and play along.  Before I get to my card, I'd like to welcome our talented Color Throwdown November Guest Designer, Kelly Lunceford.
For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Cloche Quarters: Winter Fillers along with the coordinating dies.  I used a white card base and rounded the bottom corners then added a horizontal strip of pure poppy polka dot paper.  Next I die cut my scalloped tropical teal rectangle using the Mix & Mat: Scallops Die and stamped it with snowflakes and swirls from the Silver White Winters stamp set.  After that, I die cut and stamped my images from both the original Cloche Quarters stamp set, for the pedestal, wood platform and dome and the new Cloche Quarters: Winter Fillers set along with the Merry Christmas from the Cloche Quarters: Sentiment Mini set.  I die cut two of the snowflakes from the Silver White Winters dies and adhered the larger on the bottom left corner, then added my scalloped rectangle with foam tape and arranged and adhered my images and the smaller snowflake in the top right corner.  I added some dots of white gel pen, iridescent glitter and dots of red glitter to complete my scene.
