Merry Christmas

 Merry Christmas!
I'm back with a few more Christmas tags that I created over the past few weeks.  You can never have enough Christmas tags to wrap up gifts with.  The tags that I have for today were created using the Papertrey Ink stamp set Winter Snow Globe.
These tags were so fun to make!  The base of the tag was die cut using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Tags.  Then I die cut some My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland designer paper for the background, trimming off the top loop, then die cut a snow hill using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders die.  Next I die cut and stamped the cute images from the set and adhered them using foam tape to my tags.  After that I added some fun details like a few Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes, silver rhinestones and some Diamond Stickles.
That's it from me today!  I hope that all of you have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends!

Holiday Tweets

Hello there!  For those of you who celebrate Christmas, are you ready for the holiday?  I'm actually on schedule this year which is surprising.  I'm excited for Christmas!  I love seeing the faces of my kids as they open their gifts Christmas morning and I enjoy getting together to celebrate with family.

I'm popping in today to share a card that I created a few weeks ago using the sweet Newton's Nook Designs stamp set Holiday Tweets.  I decided to go with non-traditional colors for my card and used different shades of aquas.  I started out with a white card base, then added a matted piece of My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland designer paper.  Next I added a vertical banner from the same designer paper.  Then I stamped and colored the bird image (using Copic markers) and Merry Christmas sentiment and die cut the image using a square die and matted it with ocean tides cardstock, popping it up with foam tape.  I added some finishing touches like the small snowflake, silver gems, silver metallic twine and used some silver metallic pen on the packages in the nest.
I'll be back tomorrow to share some Christmas tags!

Make a Wish - (CTD423)

Hello!  It's time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge!
For my card, I decided to make an easel card which I haven't done in quite some time. I used the My Favorite Things stamp set Celebrate with Cake along with the coordinating Celebrate with Cake Die-namics.  I started out by cutting and scoring my card base and then die cutting all of my pieces.  Next I stamped the cake stand in going grey ink and the layers of cake using pure poppy, raspberry fizz and hibiscus burst.  The flowers I stamped using pure poppy and the leaves in limeade ice.  For the stitched die cut square that I used for my background, I did some ombre inking starting out with the pure poppy at the bottom, working in some raspberry fizz and then toward the top some hibiscus burst.  Then I used the flower stamp and stamped on top of the inked background in the coordinating ink colors.  For a little detail, I added some red rhinestones to the centers of the flowers and some yellow Stickles to the candle flames.

Lawn Fawn Christmas Tags

Happy Saturday!  Today I'm sharing some Christmas tags that I created using the current Lawnscaping Challenge as my inspiration.
For my tags, I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Toboggan Together and stamped out sets of the penguin, Santa hat, sled and pine trees along with stamping four of the Merry Christmas sentiments.  After that I colored my images using Copic markers and used the Toboggan Together Lawn Cuts.  Next I die cut four of the Stitched Circle Tags and blended on some hawaiian shores ink.  I used one of the small snowflake stamps for the Toboggan Together set and randomly stamped that in hawaiian shores ink on top of the blended ink on my tag.  To assemble my tags, I started with adhering my sentiment banner, then tucked in the pine trees and sled then added my penguins with foam tape.  To embellish my tags, I used the Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes and added three to each tag with a red rhinestone in the centers.  I also used some iridescent Stickles glitter on the pine trees and stamped snowflakes then tied on some red, green and white bakers twine.
These tags were so fun to create!  Below you can see two of the tags attached to some Christmas goodies I'm sending in the mail.

Winter Wishes - Winter

Hello there!  This is my second post for today so if you're looking for my Newton's Nook Designs post, please view the post below this.
It's time for a new Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge!  This month's challenge is all about Winter, so think frosty days with snow and icicles or in crafty terms, glitter, silver, white, blues or cozy colors.  I hope you'll pull out your Concord & 9th supplies and join us for this month's challenge.
For my card, I used the Concord & 9th stamp sets, Flourish for the stamped leaves, stems and berries for my background and I used Sophisticated Script Uppercase and Sophisticated Script Lowercase to stamp my Winter Wishes sentiment.  I started out with an enchanted evening card base, then stamped a panel of white cardstock using spring rain & brocade blue inks and the large leaf/stem stamp from the Flourish set.  Then I went back in with enchanted evening ink to stamp some detail into the leaves.  Next I stamped my sentiment onto a die cut oval using enchanted evening ink.  A tip I can pass along when lining up these beautiful script letters is to stamp the center letters first and work your way out.  For instance, I stamped the "n" and "s" in each word and then stamped the reminder of my letters.  I also stamped off using spring rain ink onto my oval sentiment piece, then adhered it to my card with foam tape.  To a bit of sparkle, I added some silver sequins throughout my background.
Thank you for your visit!
I hope you'll join us over at Where Creativity Meets C9  blog and don't forget to check us out on Instagram and Facebook

Newton's Nook Designs - Deck the Halls with Inky Paws Blog Hop!

Hello!  Today I'm excited to be participating in the Newton's Nook Designs - Deck the Halls with Inky Paws Blog Hop!
I've created two cards using the sweet Newton's Nook Designs stamp set, Holiday Tweets.
For my first card, I used a white card base along with some pure poppy cardstock and scrap pieces of My Mind's Eye designer paper for my background and green banner.  I stamped my sentiment onto a white cardstock banner and tucked it under the edge of the vertical red banner.  I used one of the larger images from the Holiday Tweets set and colored it using Copic markers.  Once my coloring was done, I die cut my image using a square die and matted it in pure poppy cardstock and adhered it with foam tape to my card base. To finish off my card, on a piece of scrap white cardstock I stamped the holly image from the set, colored it with Copic markers and fussy cut the image out and added it to the top left corner of my main image.  I also used a silver glitter pen to color in the tops of the ornaments and added little dots of silver in and around the image and used some glossy accents on all of the red berries (see close up photo below).
For my second card, I decided to highlight this darling nest with birds image from the stamp set.  I die cut a scallop circle from pure poppy cardstock for my card base, added a mat of white cardstock and some polka dot My Mind's Eye designer paper.  Next I stamped my image along with the Merry Christmas sentiment and colored them with Copic markers.  Then I die cut my image using a circle die and matted it with cardstock and adhered it to my card base using foam tape.  I also, like my first card, stamped the holly separately and colored and cut it out to attach to my main image.  For a touch of sparkle, I added some silver glitter gems on my card base, some silver glitter pen to the present in the nest and some glossy accent to the berries in the holly.

Sweet Birthday Wishes - (CTD422)

Hello!  It's time for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge and we've got some fun colors for everyone to create with!  Before I get to my card, I'd like to welcome our two guest designers for this month, Leigh Penner and Kim Singdahlsen.
For my card, I used the My Favorite Things stamp set Beary Special Birthday and the Beary Special Birthday Die-namics.  I started out with a white card base, then used a stitched rectangle die and die cut a piece of enchanted evening cardstock.  Next I used a MFT Circle Grid stencil and stenciled on some enchanted evening ink onto my background.  I added a horizontal strip of raspberry fizz polka dot paper and a MFT Single Stitched Rectangle die cut frame.  After that I stamped my sentiment from the MFT stamp set Celebrate with Cake onto a banner, stamped and colored my images with Copic markers and die cut them out.  I adhered my sentiment banner first, then the packages and finally my bear image with foam tape.  As a final touch I added some orange enamel dots and some glossy accents to the bears nose.
For more inspiration, check out the design teams' blog links below OR you can go to the Color Throwdown blog for details on how to play along and you can see all the sample entries in one location.
